Twenty-five years ago Baffin Footwear began manufacturing insulated and non-insulated footwear products. While traditional molded boots are suitable for some conditions, they are not ideal for cold temperatures. Baffin combines leading molding technology with a foam-based inner boot system, which creates a hybrid style of high-performance footwear. This equates to more warmth, better fit, and superior comfort. Baffin boots are different than most shoes and work boots because the sole and midsole are molded to the base in one continuous process. The sole itself is a marvel of modern engineering because it is made up of several advanced thermo-set polymers that are combined together to achieve the right balance of warmth, protection, low weight and grip. Baffin is dedicated to offering boots with functionality and fashion, while still maintaining their legendary performance.

They are very warm and comfortable, but as I am retired and do not ...
This a a follow-up to my original post. In it I gave them a five star rating. They are very warm and comfortable, but as I am retired and do not do much, I wore them most of the day. They did not last a year, actually not the whole winter. The bottom of the slipper is a joke. If all you do is wear them to bed or carry them by hand as you move from one spot to another they may last. But other wise save your money, as a fabric bottom on anything used for walking is absurd. I ignored a post warning about the bottoms, but because in forty years of snowmobiling, Baffin Technology was by far the best boot I ever used, I ignored the warning.Do not make my mistake.

Warm slippers. Wide. I ordered a size down.
I wear a ladies' size 9 and the size large was too big. They are wide, maybe because they are unisex. Exchanged for a medium and am keeping those. Photos are of the large size. They are really warm. Plus, they seem to have a better padded insole than some others I tried. No support, but a good pad to walk on. I like that they come up well over my ankle and keep it warm. They are a little bulky to walk around in, so I wear them mostly while watching TV.

-40º MN Winter Camping and Warm Toes
I am a year round winter camper... in Minnesota. As you can imagine, nighttime hanging in a hammock in Northern Minnesota in February can be a little chilly.I used to use just wool socks, which did OK, but I would inevitably get chilly feed. These booties stopped that. With my heavy wool socks and these boots, my toes are toasty warm all night, even during a -40º night last winter. They are too hot for me for anything other than winter, but everyone is a little different. If you are looking for something to warm your feet, these will definitely do the trick.

Excellent improvement over the older ones!
These new slippers are really insulated boots, I love them! I had a previous pair from 3 years ago, comparing them to these newer ones as shown in the attached pictures (old ones are on the left). I forced the previous pair to last 3 years by using duct tape on the soles, don’t do that as it makes them slippery. These newer ones seem to be a little thicker and should wear better. The inside sole is also thicker. Also, the sides of the insulation are definitely thicker, and they are higher up on your legs than the old ones….I love that! There are two pull strings on the new ones; one at the top to seal in the warmth and one at the ankle joint to keep them from moving around. As a guy, I wear a size 10 tennis shoe so I got the XL size and they fit perfectly snug with thick socks on. For the price, they are a fantastic upgrade as they are a much improvement from their old ones and they actually keep your feet warmer! Highly recommended!

Great product, quality control issue?
Bought these for letting puppies out at 2am and basement office work, they are amazingly warm and fit better than any alternative (slipper, moccasin, slouch boot) that I have tried. The only issue I have is after moderate wear (not even 10 days) a seam blew on one of them (See picture).Other boot is rock solid, so it seems like a quality control issue perhaps, I hope so, this is a great product, would order another pair for the kid of they are durable enough.***update*** got my replacement pair a week ago (hooray) same issue with the right boot again (BOO!) either I have the thickest ankles on the planet, or the seams needs to be reinforced as they blow out (really there's not a good place to grab them to put them on anywhere else due to the soft fabric).Going to try to patch these (but the fabric frayed, so repairing will be tough) really wanted these to last as they are the best (warmth wise) slipper I've found so far, but durability is an issue it seems.***further update***A month in of light wear inside the house, bottoms are worn and now upon testing, are no longer water proof, seam reinforced and duct taped to seal soles, sad that for the price I have to do the same fix as $10 Payless slippers. Cannot recommend.

Pinchy in the toe area and WIDE
If you've ever noticed the shoes that circus clowns wear, these have a very similar shape. They are wider than any human foot I've ever seen, yet rather pinchy and flat at the toe end. They do feel much like "sleeping bags for your feet" but are not exceptionally warm, though warmish. The sole is quite thin, and should be used indoors on carpets only. Rather pricey.

Sleeping bags for your feet
Due to a neurological condition my feet turn into blocks of ice in the winter. So much so the only thing that brought some relief were thermal socks. That is, until I bought these. It's 18° here right now and I'm sitting next to a non-insulated wall with my Baffins on and no frostbitten feet. No thermal socks needed either. They're basically sleeping bags for your feet with a slightly harder, somewhat non-slip, but still very flexible bottom. These have been one of my most useful purchases.

Poor build quality but nice sleeping bags for your feet
They just came today. Go one size up. I am US 12 EU 46 and the size 13/14 fits perfect. Just enough extra space, which helps fulfill their purpose. Keeping my feet warm while I work in my basement office. The first time I pulled on the top drawstring, just to try it, it came out. Was not sewn in at all. Asian sweat shop quality. (However, the box they came in states: Box Made in Canada. What a relief.)This is not a biggie for me as I would likely not close them up anyway. Because clearly they are not meant for walking around in. The bottoms are anti-slip, but not tough material. If I go away from my desk for a while I will probably just slip them off. Give my tootsies some air that way.

Toasty feet
I try to do a lot of winter camping and I am tired of snowshoeing all day, getting back and having sweaty feet in boots around the camp/tent . So now I slip these one. My feet stay warm, they are somewhat water proof as long as you are not running around in wet/slushy snow and are comfy to wear around camp, allowing your feet to relax/breath (somewhat on the breathing).Durability, well, don't be expecting to run around camp and chasing after your dog/etc, if your kicking back tending the fire, having a drink and lounging around they are great to have on your feet.

Great for camp
I've been taking them backpacking and they're awesome at camp - Outdoor slippers that keep you warm after the sun sets in the mountains. Fairly light weight - I clip them to the outside of my pack. Obviously the fabric won't be the most durable against embers from a camp fire and mine have a little scar from that but a small repair tape patch and they're good to keep going.Exact weight is 180.5g for the left and 177.5g for the right (358g total)

Super warm and comfy! Love them!!
These are amazing!!! We have a three season cottage with no insulation and the floors get SO COLD in the early spring/late fall. I’ve bought all kinds of slippers and booties and never found anything that keeps my feet warm. I can’t believe how well these work! I actually checked to see if they had a battery-powered heating system in them because they are SO warm! I’m so happy I found these!!!
