The Immoralist (Penguin Modern Classics)

A great read. The book itself was delivered in proper conditions and the pages look and feel like a new book should. The cover was a little bent on the corners but that's about it as far as complaints go.

Came speedily and is great

A rich, decadent book filled with late 19th century malaise. On occasion it moves a little slowly, which made me yearn to read it in the original French, hoping that the texture of the prose might make up for the pacing; however, it's character-driven, and the unraveling of the protagonist is luridly interesting to watch, like lifting a rock to see what's lurking underneath.
