Good crimpers
These crimpers do a fine job without damaging the plastic insulation on the terminals.

Did the job
Worked as expected.

Has some drawbacks
tool does not put tight crimp on lite gauge wire (18-22) On 10 -12 gage, much hand strength required!

No funciona el producto
Hola buenos días, este producto me llegó con problemas, no hay una sincronización con las clavijas, déjeme saber qué podemos hacer

Bulky
These are great crimpers that do a fine job and dont mess up the insulation. Like the ratcheting function that helps ease the amount of force needed to crush the metal. These are very big and bulky so keep that in mind.

4.0-stars -- Acceptable quality for home use; better than non-ratcheting models
BACKGROUND:This came up as a Vine suggestion and I agreed to review it. For this type of terminal ends, I've always used the old style non-ratcheting crimpers where it was entirely up to you how much force you put into the crimp. Tool little and the wire would possibly come loose. Too much and you might damage the terminal end and the insulation sleeve around the terminal. Getting consistent looking crimps took a bit of practice and if you didn't do it often, your first couple of crimps of a day might not be what you ultimately wanted. Crimpers like this let you set them for a desired crimp pressure and it is repeatable.INITIAL OBSERVATIONS:Construction quality is acceptable. They are not as nicely made as the ones that you see used by professional aviation mechanics, but they are 1/10th the cost. The competitors for a tool like this is not those professional crimpers, but rather the basic non-ratcheting ones that a home mechanic might pick up at HarborFreight, HomeDepot, or Wal-Mart. If you are going to be crimping wires all day long or it is for something where someone's life will depend on it, spend the money and get the professional ones. If you are just doing home projects, these are perfectly acceptable.IMPRESSIONS:The style of crimp produced by this tool is more of a flattened / oval crimp. This seems to work acceptably for keeping the insulating sleeve intact. Some crimpers have a center indentation on the crimp and it's more easy to damage the insulation sleeve with them. For the *best* looking crimps though, I prefer to use a non-insulated terminal and add heat shrink after the crimping (or soldering) is finished. This takes a bit more time and sometimes, you just do not need that level of attention to detail.CONCLUSION:The question becomes which range of crimpers should I compare these with. It would not be fair to rate these in comparison to the professional ones that cost 10 times as much. I think their main competitors are similarly priced non-ratcheting crimpers and as such, I would way that the are "above average" (i.e. 4.0-stars). Compared to similarly priced ratcheting crimpers, they are "average" (i.e. 3.0-stars). I'll go with the former comparison though and if any issues develop, I'll revisit this review in the future.ORIGINAL AD DESCRIPTION:Crimping Tool for Heat Shrink Connectors AWG22-10, Ratcheting Wire Crimper Tool - Crimping Pliers - Ratchet Terminal Crimper - Wire Crimping Tool | Crimper Tool Electrical and Crimp Tool$17.99STAR RATING SCALE:1 -- Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.2 -- Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.3 -- Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".4 -- Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.5 -- Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.ǝuᴉʌ/ʇǝu.sɔ-ɥs.ʍʍʍ:ORDERED:2024-07-26:RECEIVED:2024-07-30:REVIEWED:2024-09-10:KWD:tools:KWD:electronics:AID:B0D5H7NQZX
