Great value
Solved my issues with TCM limp mode reset on 2000 Clk 320. Also has great access to other systems with the 38 pin connector; but, only works with iCarsoft adapter.

Do not buy - No support for faulty codes or product
I bought this diagnostic tool for my BMW, which I choose to work on myself. I was having issues with the car at idling and ran the iCarsoft tool. It came up with all sorts of codes which I eventually cleared out except for a couple of them. The codes I cleared out led me to replacing the spark plugs and coils which solved some of the idling problems. The vehicle was due for these replacements anyway. I still had the idling problem so I ran the diagnostic tool again and came up with 2 codes. Neither code was listed on the BMW code list, the iCarsoft code list for BMWs, or any other code list I found online. I started communication with Barnett Davis, the technical expert at iCarsoft who seemed pleasantly helpful at first. I sent him all the data and screen shots of the diagnostic tool he asked for, including the VIN number of the car, and then eventually sent him a diagnostic file taken from the tool itself. Needless to say this has taken several months and now Mr. Davis is no longer responding to my emails and their telephone number in VA is not answering. All I want is a simple answer. Tell me what the codes mean (P112F & P11B1) so I can either fix it myself or take it to a repair shop, or simply tell me you don't know so I can go somewhere else to find an answer. Personally I think the tool is defective or at least the software is and iCarsoft doesn't want to deal with it because it's a common problem with the tool. I'm more than willing to remove this review or change it if Mr. Barnett Davis of iCarsoft wishes to respond. It's up to you iCarsoft. In the meantime I would encourage everyone to stay away from this product.

Could not get it to connect to my 2001 Z3 through the OBD2 port inside the car
My car was throwing up the DSC/ABS/Brake 'trifecta' lights and I needed a BMW capable scan tool. The website showed this scanner was applicable to my model year car, 2001 BMW Z3 and did not require a circular adapter cable.I connected it to my car at the OBD2 port under the dash and all I could pull up was the engine emissions related parameters; I already had a wi-fi scanner that could pull up the emissions codes, which is why I bought this one.I sent an email to the manufacturer a week after receiving this scanner, asking if I needed a circular connector. That was over a month ago and they have yet to respond. In the meantime I thought 'what the hell, I'll get the circular connector anyway. I got a circular connector that plugs in inside the engine compartment. I had to put the hood up and run the cable out at the windshield and in my driver's window at the extreme end of the cable (held in my left hand while driving a 5 speed to check ABS data, cable was that short).I got it to scan OK, but I wasn't happy with the lag rate when the buttons were pushed, I'm talking several seconds to respond, very slowwwwww.I also wasn't happy with having to run the cable from the engine compartment and in a window while driving to test the body modules. After thinking about it for a couple weeks and getting no reply from tech support, I returned this scanner for a refund. Lack of tech support response was a big factor in my decision; I decided to cut my losses early.

It does a lot of the higher level diagnosis and programming. Well worth the price
Needed to reconfigure my 2004 Mercedes CLK to delete from equipment list on BCU, the old cellular phone and SOS services which were not available anymore due to discontinued service. This not only cleared that from programming but also got me codes for other faults that needed repairs or service. I’m so happy with this product. It did thing that would otherwise had required a very expensive trip to the dealer.

Paid for itself on first day!
Forget those BT dongles with torque pro, and the generic scanners that don't see a thing... I had an SRS error since I replaced the LCD on my W203 Sportcoupe, this thing read ALL the errors on the car (the other scanners all said everything was OK) and was able to reset the SRS module which is usually a dealer only function. Essentially it paid for itself the first time I connected it, well worth the money for anyone with a MB that doesn't particularly like handing fistfuls of cash to the stealership!

New product with old software installed
Says "Enhanced Version" but still has old software installed. And if you have a Mac computer you CAN NOT update the software because ICarsoft is only compatible with Windows PCs.This thing has been a complete nightmare in trying to get it to recognize my vehicle simple because it was sold with old software installed.....You should not have to update a brand new tool as soon as you get it.LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR A SCANNER!!!!!!
