TopsTPALRT01-BRK Alrt

I saw the picture of this knife from Tops Knive's website and I knew I have to have it. They sell it for a lot more than what I paid here in Amazon though. The 1095 carbon steel metal is tough, it came sharp.But one problem I have with it is extremely difficult to pull from the sheath. It is in there good and definitely won't fall out. Every time I tried to pull it out I had to death grip it and my finger would hurt from the grabbing the jimping too hard.Other than that, I don't foresee myself using this knife too much. Mostly opening boxes or in emergency situation like cutting seat belts or something. The knife is good, but they need to work on the sheath.EDIT: I've replace the ball-and-chain with a piece of 550 cord. Now it's much easier to pull and I don't have to worry about breaking the chain.

And not around my neck. I have it on a piece of cord and carabiner, clipped to the side belt loop. It hangs straight down, in front or back pocket. Very unobtrusive, hardly know it's there.This thing will handle most daily tasks - opening boxes, scraping, prying, etc. without having to worry about messing it up. It's an Exacto knife on steroids. I would get the smaller version if it had a similar sheath. Highly recommended.

It's just what it appears to be, a monolithic piece of sharp metal. I have no doubts it will cut, open or even pry apart whatever I put in front of it but it's a bit pricey for what it is. The sides are nicely ribbed for a decent bit of traction in your hand and the hole is more of a secondary gripping spot rather than a finger hole (unless you have really scrawny fingers...). The sheath seems pretty sturdy and keeps the blade fastened well.I bought this on a whim after also buying the Tops Steel eagle 107C which is also a brute of a knife.

This is about as close as you'll get to a every day carry, effective neck knife. I've seen some that claim to by, but honestly, they're too bulky or they're too small. This is a solid cutter with a sharp edge out of the box. Because it's one piece of solid American steel, you'd really have to do some prying with it to bend or break it. The finger hole is great for use though it takes a little getting used to.All in all, best knife for this size and purpose I've found.

This knife whistle and flashlight kit are great tools. Its everything you would want for a car emergency or even a hiking emergency where a small sharp blade is needed. Only reason it doesn't get a 5star is that it isn't that large but its quality and effective it also can be a every day carry knife a work knife what ever the day calls for

I've worn this daily since I got it and really like it. I added my own paracord lanyard to it for extra gripping surface. The neck knife is nice and light and unobtrusive. The light is a little different then pictures but is also nice even though I don't use it. All told, it is a quality product for a reasonable price and fills it's intended role perfectly.

Nice but real tight fit wear gloves to pull knife until you can Loren it up a little or you might get cut
