This can quickly become indispensable if you play a lot of pickleball and use a lot of balls. It easily holds 20 balls and just as easily picks them up by "dropping" it over the loose balls. The "handle" can then be locked for transportation that won't allow any of the balls to get loose. Since we often play with the children and grand children going wild on 2 or 3 courts this really helps when it is time to pick up all the balls and go home! For us this means outdoors and outdoor balls. If you plan to use it to perhaps teach indoors you might want to tape the bottom so it won't scratch the floor-the only very minor issue I have with this. I suggest that the manufacturer apply some type of rubber or plastic coating the would stand up to outdoor use and also be gentle enough for use indoors. In the meantime this is an easy fix if you plan on a lot of indoor use. Another one of those things you never knew you needed until you try it!

The Westant Pickleball Holder is great for practicing serves alone, or for practicing ground strokes or volleys with a friend. Ball collection is simple, just set the holder down over the ball and it effortlessly pushes into the hopper. The heavy gauge wire hopper is fairly tall and holds 20 balls, and with the handle height its comfortable to carry or when retrieving balls. The balls are satisfactory for practice, but as far as I can tell they are not USAPA approved so not for match play, but they seem a little inconsistent for tournaments even if they were approved. Not really a consideration for practice balls though in my opinion. I do wish the handles were long enough and mounted in a way to allow them to be folded down for legs to raise the height of the hopper. It would make practicing servers a bit more convenient. Overall, a great ball hopper that I think anyone would appreciate to make practicing a little more convenient and enjoyable.

The basket is cheaply made and the closures for the top do not align. There is no way to close and the balls spill out. The only positive is that it is cute with all the colored balls.

The media could not be loaded.  THE HOLDERI really like the size of this holder. But it's big enough to hold 20 balls. It fits compactly in your trunk or the back of your SUV. The handles fold out and up so you can use it to retrieve balls as well. It really comes in handy when you're practicing and have a lot of balls on the court or if you're using a ball machine. You just close the gate on top then press this on top of the balls and they pop into the holder. No need to bend down to retrieve balls. Even if it didn't come with balls, this is a really handy pickleball accessory.THE BALLSI really like these balls. I played with them in a couple games and liked their bounce. The guys I was playing with didn't like them mostly because they weren't the balls they were used to. These balls are pretty live, probably because they are new, and we're used to playing with old balls.

I have not had a chance to bring this to a court yet, but playing around with it at home has proven it works quite well. The part that allows you to "pick up" balls is a metal spring encased in plastic. This works very well.This set also comes with various balls and different colors.I recommend this for anyone not wanting to pick up balls al the time.

Good grabbing of balls. Push down on ball and it grabs it. The handle has a nice way to hold the handles together, unlike other units. Balls are good and is a nice touch. Good stuff.

This pickleball basket is of pretty good quality, and holds a good amount of balls. The metal that makes up the basket and handles is sturdy enough to not flex, and the bottom is easy to pick up balls with. My one complaint is that the rubber clips that hold the basket closed are pretty flimsy, so they either fly open or fly off, launching your balls everywhere.

This makes it so much easier to gather balls. Study and lightweight.
