Hmmm What Size?
I’m 5’9”, 250 lbs, 44D. I prefer a little loose not to show lumps and bumps around my gut and an empire waist. So, I ordered 3 sizes. 3x, 4x, 5x. The dress touches the floor, but 2” heels are perfect! 1. Totally Quality material, almost like double thickness or lined; the stretch is fantastic and returns to normal and not stretched out with wear, plus I have 2 dogs and worn many times with NO PICKS! Beautiful. I machine wash inside out, dry 10 minutes for no wrinkles and rack dry rest of the way.2. The arms even on the 3x were not skin tight, but nice with extra pinch of material left over! Again no lumps.3. At first I thought the cleavage way too low and wanted to stitch or pin together... neither looked right, it pulled on the natural drape of the dress. So, I bought lace dickeys (and extra lace sleeves for the fall) to wear. WOW Gorgeous! Soft, feminine, modest and many compliments. If you have bigger girls than me, this dress can handle it Very nicely, just know you will expose your cleavage. A lace panel works lovely without the outlines seen! [i have worn a mock turtleneck too for day wear and sleeves]4. The 5x is too big, but I needed it When it arrived and kept it! It became a fantastic night gown! So comfortable! (Plus I’m loosing weight) So in future can simply take in smallest part of empire waist to fit perfectly.5. The 3x though perfect in size for me in every way but one area... lumps and slip outlines visible around my gut: No Thx!!!6. The 4x though a little large FLOWS! By a little large I mean the empire waist has about an inch of loose material, just enough to hang without Cling and drape softly. Yay!7. Last little note, I have Large hips, so empire waist line gives a flat indented curve, and a flared dress bottom from top of hips down keeps a balanced, modest, yet comely lines!I bought in navy (perfect navy color too, not blackish nor too light), brown (rich fall color), Lol purple (this I took a chance on and sooo glad I did! It’s a purple toned down with silverish tint, not primary color) one word: Elegant. Yes, I’m buying more because with different dickeys and jewelry the dresses look different as day and night, which I have worn for day and formal wear... and I’m pretty in my sleep as they become too large! Seriously for me night gowns that are long enough, not see thru, comfortable and can be worn year round cost me much more! I have so appreciated the others reviews on this dress! I hope I helped. From one dress maker to another... thank you from the bottom of my heart!I feel pretty Wearing it even in my 60s. The lines and draping are perfect.

Fantastic, classy, and comfortable dress
I have this dress it two colors and sizes -- brown (L) and grey (XL). They're designed, I think, for extremely well-endowed women, so if you're in the medium-to-small range, order it using your waist measurement for best fit. Both sizes have slightly-too-tight sleeves, but it's stretch fabric so it isn't awful. It's just very mildly annoying to find a flaw in an otherwise perfect garment! The grey fabric is just a bit heavier, but the brown is still Fall/Spring weight; I don't think you'd ever want to wear this fleece-lined dress in any temperature above 70F. (Note that the dress is not lined, per se; the fabric is fleecy on the inside and incredibly soft.) The facing fabric is smooth and always looks neat, even if you sleep in the dress, which I did once. Some have mentioned the serged hem, but it doesn't bother me. I think it looks fine; nobody will ever notice it. It's even and looks good. This dress is a screamin' deal for the price. Add one to your wardrobe and you'll never have to wonder what to wear to that party ever again! They dress up and down wonderfully. Add an up-do and fine shoes and jewelry and you're off to the opera; throw a shawl over it with some moccasins and you're ready for Ren Faire. The label does say to hang dry. I assume this is to keep the inside of the fabric from pilling. I machine-dried my grey one the first time I washed it and nothing bad happened, but I'm so fond of the softness inside I will probably hang-dry them from now on, and man-made fibers tend to dry quickly anyway so I don't expect it to be a hassle!

Versatility and comfort!
The recipient who normally wears a 22W ordered a 4X in Blue. She is proportionate for her size. The color was absolutely stunning. It was a medium royal blue that just catches your eye and you are drawn to it wherever it is in the room. The color isn't a deep royal limiting it to winter and not too light that it'd only be spring/summer, it's a perfect medium. The fabric is a med weight jersey type poly. It has plenty of stretch but still firm enough to provide some support if you are upper arm conscious. Them on 5'6" barefoot model skims the floor, no hemming needed with flats. It would accept heels but they'd be revealed at this length. The cut is simple and timeless, this dress could be worn for many years and types of events without looking dated or out of place. The empire bodice is a simple crossover wrap that you could leave as is and show some cleavage (not much) or pin closed for conservative occasions. The color and cut are strong enough on their own or be a canvas to set off a delicate pendant set or a bold necklace- the options are limitless. The waistband is about 1" wide. The model is full busted and has some bumps and bulges she was self conscious about and it sits flatteringly right under her bust. The skirt portion is a modified A line, so while generous it has a shape rather than just dropping from waist to floor. She was modeling without typical foundation garments, the cut and fabric are very forgiving and concealed most all of her concerns. If she were to have the typical smoothing pieces you wouldn't see any, without them you only get a faint glimpse. The price at under $28 was a terrific value considering all of the options the dress provides. Would love to buy in every color. One more thing on the color, if you are worried that royal blue isn't your best color-don't. It sits (thanks to wrap) far enough away from your face so as not to contrast your skin or eyes- it truly is a beautiful blue canvas.

Fits a 4x well and is pretty and comfortable to boot.
I have been eyeing up these dresses for a while, and decided to risk $40 and buy one just to see if it fit. I am an Australian SIze 26/28 and 175cm, so I ordered the 4x, and I have to say its lovely :)It fits beautifully - its a true maxi so it goes to my ankles. The fabric is very soft and a medium weight - maybe twice a t-shirt weight ? So not for blastingly hot weather, but fine to wear out on a summer's evening. The arms fit well - not too tight at all, and go to my wrists. The print is very pretty - I was worried it would look like Grandma's curtains - but its a good size print so it looks elegant instead of chintzy.I have now ordered some others in the range - a white one with half sleeves for warmer weather, and one of the round neck ones with pockets, as a house dress.I'm someone who buys a lot of clothes from the internet, because there is so little choice available in Australia for plus size women, and I am very happy with this dress. It is much nicer than dresses I have paid 4 times as much for in retail outlets.
