This is right out of the box, and I haven't had time to wear-test it.But I've tried out all the features, and the one warning is this: It's so versatile that you need to allow setup time for each shoot, so you can adjust all the joints.It's tall, unlike those 'travel tripods' for 800 bucks.It's strong in the center column, unlike the old aluminum twenty-dollar tripods.The ball-joint head flips quickly into portrait mode, unlike a video industry tripod.The boom feature adds the ability to spy down on a tabletop for food photography.It's full of angle markers, and has a bubble-level built-in. It's almost a surveyor tool.The quick-release is Arca, so it's interchangeable with task-specific accessories.And it even has the hook to hang a sandbag for additional stability.Just one question: The documentation isn't showing me a place to attach the included allen wrenches. I guess I need to dedicate a pocket. And be prepared for the reverse-spider packing mode. That's not going to be intuitive for a lot of people.

I am pretty happy with this tripod. I don't use it much to speak of its durability, but it is very convenient and has rich functionality.

First, I think people that had issue(s) with its stability are using it in-correctly. I would make certain that the red part is totally twisted into the black part. I noticed that it can seem correct when not twisted-in all the way. I very much like the ability to shot both vertically and horizontally with this tripod. I needed the height too, and I would look very closely when buying a tripod. I have seen a lot of 5 to 6 foot high tripods, but I have not seen that many 7 foot 6 inch tripods for this cheap with all of its features. I would buy it if you are looking for a $100 tripod, and I would say it is worth it.

Lightweight, sturdy, collapses down very small. An extremely versatile tripod that works great to mount a camera for our baseball games. I like how tall it is compared to a standard tripod.

awesome tripod. I purchased this for taking photos of books and analog photos. I put a large digital DLSR camera on it and it held it no problem at all
