X1 Pro Owner (Previous x1mini)
Ok, this device is a little expensive, but you get what you pay for.. I have spent the past few days throwing every game i have at it, and it responds beautifully.. The new AMD chip is everything it is cracked up to be, I own the prior model the MINI, and even that one with the 8840u was not as good as this one.. The screen size was my biggest concern thinking that maybe it would be too big, but after days of using it, I can’t go to anything smaller.. Definitely worth the price if you are a gamer. I only use my system for gaming 24/7, so i can’t attest to the other formats that other users will use it for, but for my gaming fix, this does beautifully.. I def recommend, and I can’t rave enough about it.. Onexplayer, bravo for such a beautiful gaming system..Doug

4.5 stars for the right person!
The media could not be loaded. If I could give this device a 4.5 rating, I would. For the price and compared to its competitors, the One XPlayer X1 offers a great value. The device is well-built, with a solid tablet and a keyboard that feels well-constructed. However, the touchpad could be improved in terms of quality. It’s smooth but small, and clicking requires excessive force, making it more suitable for tapping rather than clicking. The controllers are a mixed bag. The design is great, they are easy-to-snap-on and the buttons have a satisfying click to them. However, they feel hollow and light, with little resistance from the joysticks. Adding more weight to the controllers could have improved their feel, but the tablet itself is already quite heavy for a handheld device. The display is fantastic, with a fast refresh rate, plenty of brightness, and great colors. The panel is natively portrait, which is disappointing but not a major issue for me. The speakers could be better, but they’re not bad. Good for most tasks but I’m not listening to music through the X1’s speakers. The port selection for this form factor is impressive. It includes two USB-C 4 ports, a USB-A 3.2 port, a MicroSD port, a 3.5mm audio port, and the lesser-known OCUlink port (primarily used for external GPUs but it frees up the USB4 ports in that use case). The performance of this device is excellent. It’s incredibly convenient to adjust the TDP of the device on the fly. I often disable the CPU’s turbo boost, set the TDP to 10W, and adjust the brightness to around 30-40%. This combination provides great performance for light tasks while ensuring good battery life. For gaming, enabling image scalers like FSR significantly improves the performance of AAA games. Ghost of Tsushima runs well on this device and for less demanding games like Balatro and Peglin, I was also able to achieve excellent battery life.I highly recommend this device to individuals who are in the middle of their device choices or those who want to consolidate their portable devices. Perhaps you own or desire an ROG Ally and a Surface Pro; I believe this is a great option for you. Alternatively, if you need something for school but also enjoy gaming, this could be a suitable for you. If you strictly want a handheld for gaming and DON’T prioritize having a portable large screen, I suggest exploring other options, but if you have a mixed-use case scenario like mine, I believe you will be satisfied with the OneXPlayer X1.

Great Concept but has a lot of issues after only 3 days!
The media could not be loaded. I received my x1 August 17, 2024 when I got my x1 it turns on right away then I immediately connect the keyboard but it didn't work at first so I tried unplugging it then plugging it back in then it worked. I thought maybe I didn't plug it in right so I didn't care about it. On the first day I updated all the chipset/graphics drivers, bios, wifi, etc. it all got updated successfully. the performance is 3x faster than my steamdeck. That screen is really really good better than ally or steamdeck. 2560x1600 it's like an OLED but it's a ltps screen.3 days later August 20, 2024 (My SD card brand is PNY 512GB) I was gaming on my x1 using my sd card when suddenly my game crashed then I heard the windows sound of disconnection of a device. My sd card wasn't readable/detected anymore by the device so I tried my sd card on my steamdeck and on my laptop but they were able to read/detect it and works on them. So I tried different sd card and again it wasn't able to read/detect it so I formatted the SD card and it didn't read/detect again I tried the formatted sd card on my steamdeck and other devices too but again they were able to detect it. I'm guessing that the sd card reader in this device is broken only after 3 days. Sometimes it reads the SD card then disconnects.A few hours later after I have the SD card issue the device itself suddenly shut off In the middle of the game playing valorant I have 70% at that time when I tried to turn it back on it won't turn on only a blue light shows on the power button. I tried long pressing the power button turn it on and off but no good. I was able to fix this issue by battery draining the device it started working again fine but sd card reader still does not work it reads then disconnects. Few days later the device suddenly turn off again and I had to drain again it occurs again eventually I don't know what's causing it I'm using the provided charger and no overheating issues it only reach 60-70 Celsius when gaming. The device itself get hot especially on the sides.Today I was playing games but on the internal storage ssd by the device. I was playing GTA V and I was clicking the turbo button to open the onexplayer control but it won't open it so I tried to restart the device then it only worked once then if you click it back again it won't work anymore you need to restart it again to get it to work once.Sometimes games crashes when you open the onexplayer control but not all of the games I tested one game that crashes when you open the onexplayer control which is Roblox. The device has a lot of issues like the options of resolution are not all in there in the oxp control but it can be fixed by an edid file you can download it by joining the discord where they have a oxp representative they help you but sometimes they can't do nothing that are not fixable.I ordered from Amazon because theres more buyer protection and easy to return and refund especially I heard a lot of horrors and issues of this device x1. If you want to order this from their official website please be aware that you can't return it after 7 days and that you need to ship it back to them and pay the custom fees, shipping fees etc. The one they sell on Amazon costs $200 more than on their official website but I think it's worth it to pay $200 more to get protection for 30 days if there are any issues especially since this is a large purchase of $1000+.The Onexplayer x1 has a 1 yearManufacturer warranty but you need to ship it and it costs a lot to ship it back to China because the Onexplayer manufacturer is from China. If you want a device that is more reliable and has a lot of support and easy to issue a warranty I would stick to known brands such as Asus, Valve(steamdeck), Lenovo,But if you wanna keep/buy this device despite issues. I would recommend buying a protection plan for $89 2 years that covers any malfunction and if they can't fix it they will give you the money you paid for the device.I've contacted the Onexplayer support through email by their Amazon page about the SD card reader issue and onexplayer control not opening by the power button and that the device itself won't turn on or only show blue light on the power button. They were very quick to respond and after inspection they found out that the device itself is defective and told me to issue a return for a full refund. As of Aug 31, 2024 I'm currently returning this product I'm waiting for the UPS to pick it up which is weird because I don't have other options to drop it at Kohl's or UPS store very first time happened to me.Overall the Onexplayer x1 is a really really good and convenient device when it's "Working" you can carry it wherever you want The battery is really good almost 3 hours at 15 watt(game dependent) 6/8 hours plus when 4watt tdp doing school works/officeDue to Amazon review policy I can only upload 1 video per review this one video is where the device won't read my sd card. It does sometimes read but again it disconnects right away. I have another video where the device is not turning on only blue light shows on the power button. Again I can only upload one video on a review. The 3 in 1 concept is really what sold me. This is the best 3 in 1 concept you can get right now.
