This timer works as a countdown or count up. It has 4 pre-sets countdowns which are usable without having to set anything apart from whether or not you want a vibrate or audible notification.You can also set other time periods manually up to 99 minutes 99 seconds.The buttons to set the time are easy enough to operate as is the start/stop button on the back.The switches for vibrate/audible alerts and also whether or not to use the auto set times (gravity setting) or manual start/stop.Great size, sturdy cube with a clear display. I purchased this for use for training at work.Part of my job is to help candidates perform skills in a time pressured manner, and this little gadget came in pretty helpful!It arrived promptly and securely packaged. The appearance of the product was same with what was advertised, and it came with batteries and a manual for use.To be honest, I didn't need to use the manual as figuring out the specifics were fairly straightforward. Place the batteries in and have a play at testing the buttons.Size-wise, its compact, but the numbers on the display are large enough to be seen from a distance. There is a switch on the back that can help you adjust the brightness of the display depending on your preference.Another switch also presents you to operate it with or without the presence of an alarm sound.There is a little hook that you can fold or unfold, depending if you want it hung or placed on a tabletop/counter. It wont slip easily, as a rubber pad at the base will allow for it to maintain its stance.Another choice for placement is you can easily attach it on a metal appliance as it has magnets on the back, too.Buttons are fairly straightforward. Theres one for Minutes, Seconds, and a Start/Stop button to get it going.Playing through the Start and Stop buttons will allow for you to let it count down or up, as well!Pretty happy with this purchase!Serious bang for your buck!

A good, compact digital timer which is easy to use with large easily read numbers. Would recommend.

This is what I have wanted for so long. No need to read the instructions - beautifully designed and simple to use. Love it.

Updated January 2025.The original timer purchased failed with one of the buttons dropping into the main body. After only careful use. We have a similar timer in the kitchen that's been going for nearly 10 years. Purchased a second one of these and the sound settings are way off compared with the original, and the alarm sounds unearthly! Think foxes at night! Needless to say we won't be buying a third.
