Good Paddle, Not Great -- Seems like its for Beginners
I had been playing with the Stiga Pro Carbon for almost a year before it broke (my doing), and since they were no longer on sale at a great price, I decided to try Butterfly seeing as they are another highly rated MFG of paddles, this is a reasonably priced paddle, and it was recommended for more advanced players. After playing with this paddle for 2 weeks, I am disappointed in how it performs. I play with people who use spin, power, etc. and this paddle does not handle any of that with ease. Returning a shot with topspin and the ball shoots to the moon it seems. Forget about returning any shot with backspin. With my Stiga I was curling loopers with ease, with great placement, and it came naturally as soon as I started using it. With this paddle, forget about trying to loop shots to the corners because it offers little to no movement. I've also noticed that ballspeed dies on contact which completely negates any defensive ability when taking on a hard hit shot. The sound it makes when the ball hits also sounds like there isn't any rubber padding whatsoever. In all, I wish I would have paid more for the Stiga that I had instead of exploring other brands, because if I cannot return this paddle it was a big waste of money.

Pretty slow, good rubber though
I wanted to get a cheap paddle to let other people use when I didn't want to share my nice paddle. I guess this paddle fulfills that role, but it's super slow; like I feel like I'm playing baseball every time I spike the ball. The rubber is decently tacky so spin isn't too much of an issue; the build quality is decent as well. It's a meh paddle, I'd go for a different one for a little more money if this was my main racket.
