Microsoft Lumia 950 Dual-SIM (black)

For me, dual sim is vital and I hate Android so three years ago I bought a Lumia 635 via the German version of the Microsoft Store (why on earth they couldn't sell dual sim directly in the UK is beyond me). Happy with it in general, but after three years decided it was time for an upgrade - in particular for better camera functionality.Shocked to find that Microsoft seem to be withdrawing these phones and couldn't even buy a single sim version direct never mind the dual sim.So ended up here on Amazon with a third-party German supplier.Transaction went swimmingly and the phone arrived within 4 working days.And I'm very pleased with it indeed.Slightly larger in size than the 635, so I had been a bit concerned that it could be too big for my hand, but it works fine for me and the extra area/better quality screen gives much more visibility.All the main items I use are much better on this phone than the 635 - messages, email, calendar, browsing - and the two cameras knock socks off the old single one.The only tiny thing I'm missing is the ability to mute the phone ringing by simply turning the phone face down - I found that very useful, not sure why Microsoft thought it wouldn't be needed in the bigger phone.All in all, a very happy punter - for now, not sure how I will feel in a few years time when I need a new one if these have completely disappeared from the market. :(

Lovely bit of kit - now working well on Windows 10 - only negative is the double tap is rubbish - but hey - the side switch is right there anyway. Battery usage needs to be improved - have to research adjustments on google. Great having the power, speed AND memory capacity. Obviously a big step up from the Lumia 640. Only working on one sim card currently as Vodafone are rubbish at issuing the Nano sim card - 2 weeks and waiting.

It has a nice quality feel, responds well and has an excellent camera. Windows 10 feels like it is still a system that requires development, and is the weakest part of the Lumia user experience.

The battery not working properly and the phone was used before.

All you can ask for from a Windows phone.

This unit replaced a poorly charging disappointing Windows 8.1 phone. Now have an improved battery (replaceable), and dual sim (useful as I live in area of poor reception) with 100+ MB storage card. Software unreliable (poor connection to Microsoft band 2) 'till I updated to latest firmware. Now much improved with excellent maps, calendar etc but battery life remains an issue. I invested in a new cover and now use wireless charging. Surprisingly easy and reliable. Recommended.

... but that's what happens without the dreaded app support. You can't blame Microsoft (although some might). I've had my dual sim 950 for nearly a year (from eBay for less than £200), which replaced a single sim version. I also have a dual sim 640 and a single sim 830 upgraded to Windows 10 (shame that one was never available in a dual sim version). The 950 is my daily driver (I hang onto the other phones as back ups).At first sight, the 950 is a dull, plastic block of the phone with few redeeming features on the design front out of the box. Mine is the black version. Shame MS did not give it a metal frame like the 650 and the 830, but the decision not to do so may have been in the interest of saving weight. But, and this to my mind is a big "but", you can remove the back and replace it with whatever floats your boat (within reason). I have a Mozo cognac leather back on at the moment, which certainly moves the appearance up market, but I also have a couple of Terrapin backs. iPhones and sundry Androids (the gorgeous Samsung Galaxy Edge in particular) may look a lot nicer, but the glass backs render them fragile and their good looks have to hide behind protective cases. I have dropped my 950 several times and the only injury it suffered was a minor, barely visible mark on the screen when it landed face down on gravel.Talking of the screen, it has excellent resolution and Gorilla Glass protection with good colour adjustment in the settings menu.So, the iPhone 8 and its siblings have wireless charging, evidently made possible now by the (expensive to replace) glass back. The 950 has had wireless charging since it came out in 2015, as did the 930 and the 830 before it; none of these has a glass back...The removable back means that you can replace the battery, carry a spare, etc etc - you are not forced into buying a new phone because the manufacturer wants to charge you a fortune for a new battery and you therefore deem it not cost efficient. Incidentally, the 950 uses the same size battery (physical size that is) as the 640. Battery life is now a lot improved since the launch of the 950 and with average use I can get through a day and into the next.It is "only" 32Gb basic storage, but you get microSd storage as well if you want it. AND, you don't have to choose between microSD and the second sim - they have separate slots so you can have both in your phone at the same time :) Shame this is not possible with the likes of the Galaxy Edge. Of course you can forget about expandable storage and dual sim on an iPhone.Dual sim is very useful, especially when you are travelling, but of course it also means you can have one phone for business and personal.The camera, with its Nokia genes, is excellent and has optical image stabilisation, which is a boon for low-light photography. You get a choice between 19 mp and 8 mp on the main camera. The video mode is also very good. Ok, the opposition have now caught up and possibly surpassed the 950 in the camera department, but we are two years down the road from the 950's debut.The 950 has a headphone jack. The current trend towards doing away with this is lamentable as it limits what you can use. Also, the jack is on the top of the phone, not the bottom, which is surely the more sensible option if you are listening with the phone in your pocket.Finally, the OS itself. As a mobile OS, there is nothing wrong with Windows 10 in its latest form. It is the least resource hungry and most customisable of all the mobile operating systems. You can play around with the screen tiles to your heart's content and it's a breeze to uninstall apps. On the 950 with its 3Gb of RAM it breezes through tasks with no, or at the very least very little stutter.So, to sum up, you now have a flagship phone which can be bought for mid-range phone prices, with all the features and performance you are ever likely to sensibly need.Such a shame that the majority of people out there seem to be swayed by apps...

Ho avuto in Lumia950 per 3 anni, poi mi e' caduto e si e' rotto in modo irrecuperabile (caduto mentre ero in moto e ci sono passati sopra varie auto...) ebbene, ne ho preso uno identico. Grazie all'account MS ho recuperato tutto come era quello stesso giorno. Questo cellulare e' perfetto, veloce, essenziale, pulito, semplice. Ovviamente non essendo piu' supportato troverete poche applicazioni (ma quelle serie ci sono) ma il vantaggio e' anche che il sistema rimane sempre perfetto e senza malware o spyware. E' un full optional, carica veloce, carica wifi, fotocamera che ancora oggi fa bellissime foto (obiettivo Zeiss, 3 led, 20mpix), schermo oled, esacore, batteria rimovibile, supporta microsd da 128gb, criptografia bitlocker (imbucabile), insomma perfetto. Un difetto? Beh, e' piuttosto sottile, leggero e scivola facilmente (ne so qualcosa...). Se con il cellulare ci fate i videogiochi e le millemila applicazioni del cavolo, allora non fa per voi.

Haptik und Verarbeitung ist super. Nichts knarrt, nichts knirscht. Einrichtung quasi alleine. Apps die gebraucht werden sind vorhanden oder entsprechende Alternative. Die Dockmöglichkeit zum Bildschirm übers Microsoftdock ist super. Die Verwaltung der 2 Karten ist perfekt. Die Nutzung von 2 mal Whatsapp auf dem Gerät funktioniert sehr gut. Der Anschluß über USB C ist problematisch. Mal eben eine Powerbank nutzen ohne spezielles Kabel nahezu unmöglich.Wie auch schon in anderen Rezensionen gelesen ist die Akku Laufzeit nicht ausreichend. Morgens geladen (um 6.00 Uhr) und um 12.00 Uhr alle. Die Nutzung des Gerätes ist wie folgt:Emails checken, Whatsapp für beide Karten, Nachrichten lesen Facebook, telefonieren eher weniger, Bluetooth meistens aus, Wlan teilweise aus teilweise an. Keine Spiele und kaum Videos gucken. Es ist halt mein Büro.Performance:Microsoft apps und was vorinstalliert ist läuft gut und schnell, nur manchmal müssen die Apps zweimal gestartet werden. App schliesst sofort nach dem öffnen wieder. Whatsapp läuft fast immer nur beim zweiten Aufruf (sowohl mit Karte 1 als auch 2). Auch beim wechseln zwischen zwei Apps ist Whatsapp tot und muss neu aufgerufen werden. Google - Drive Verbindung nahezu unmöglich (war mir aber vorher klar). Das Phone wird ziemlich heiß. Wenn ich kein eingefleischter Windows Phone Fan wäre und in der Microsoft Welt meine Infrastruktur hätte, hätte ich es wohl schon ausgetauscht- speziell wegen der Akku Laufzeit.Also immer Kabel bei haben (Steckerteil UND USB Ladekabel).

Il sistema operativo è buono ma soffre di alcune carenze(redirezione di chiamata e attività di outlook per esempio). Ich schaue mir regelmäßig die aktuellen Topmodelle aller großen Marken an und hatte mir das Lumia 950 zum Erscheinungstermin geholt. Das war leider ein Fehler. Die Software war unausgereift und der Preis exorbitant hoch.Heutzutage (09/16) siehts aber ganz anders aus. Der Preis ist um fast 2/3 gefallen und die Software hat sich auch stark gebessert.In Stichpunkten:+ Immer noch so ziemlich die beste Handykamera, vor allem bei Dunkelheit+ Der aktuelle Preis (knapp 300) ist einfach top für das Gerät+ Mittlerweile sehr schneller Iris-Scan-Login+ Wechselbarerer Akku und Rückseite+ 2 Simkarten+ Kabelloses Laden,+ Top Display: 2560 x 1440- Windows ist bei bestimmten Aktionen etwas langsamer als IOS/Android- Kein FingerprintsensorAnsonsten:Es gibt wohl auch in Zukunft relativ wenige Apps, stört mich aber nicht mehr so sehr, weil man kann fast alles auch über eine normale Webseite machen. Theoretisch bietet das Gerät noch die Continuum-Funktion wobei ich die nicht wirklich nutze, da fehlen viele Programme und das Gerät ist dafür wohl auch zu schwach auf der Brust.Gerade das 950er hat auch noch eine angenehme Größe und Gewicht im Vergleich zu den vielen Phablets.Wer das Gerät Hauptsächlich für email und Internet nutzten will und wert auf eine sehr gute Kamera legt (also außer die ganz neuen mit Doppel-Cams kommt meiner Meinung nach kein Gerät an das Lumia ran) der bekommt zum Schnäppchenpreis ein echt gutes Gerät! Der optische und haptische Eindruck ist nicht ganz so hochwertig wie bei den Voll-Alu-Geräten, aber auch keineswegs billig.So eine Kamera und so ein Display gibts aktuell sonst nirgends für den Preis

Wer ein Handy sucht, für das es vielen Apps, Games und mit aktuellem Social Media Content gibt, ist bei Windows Phone falsch. Im Store gibt es zwar eine Menge (.. einige) Apps, die sind nicht aktuell und viele davon funktionieren nicht oder stürzen häufig ab.Wer dagegen ein Handy sucht, das viele nützliche Anwendungen mitbringt, Outlook und Office hat und wert auf eine der besten Kameras im Handy wert legt, ist hier genau richtig. Die Hardware ist gut verarbeitet, der Akku lässt sich austauschen, 2 Nono SIM Karten und eine (bis 200 GB) können eingesteckt werden.Windows 10 läuft nach dem letzten Update recht gut (nicht perfekt), nach der ersten der Inbetriebnahme werden jede Menge Updates installiert und das Handy wird gefühlte 100 restartet, danach läuft alles ohne Probleme. Das Display ist sehr scharf, und auch sonst ist das Lumina 950 recht schnell.Ich bin zufrieden.

Auch im Vergleich zu Apple iOS oder Android-Smartphones - ein Smartphone der Oberklasse.Akku hält durchschnittlich (ich lade sowieso jeden Tag, aber es hält bis zu drei bei Mischnutzung). Das GPS-Modul ist Spitze (sehr viel besser als Samsung, Offline-Karten weltweit kostenlos).Das große Display erlaubt auch mal Mail-Checken, Surfen oder Filme schauen. Die Qualität zeigt, dass die Größe eigentlich gar nicht ausschlaggebend ist, sondern die Auflösung ebenso zählt.Ebenso gefällt mir die Swipe-Tastatur - Standard bei Lumia, ohne zusätzliche Installationen oder Gebühren. Die altertümlichen Standard-Eingabemethoden bei Android etc. gehören der Vergangenheit an.Die App-Liste im Store ist zwar begrenzt, aber das Wichtigste findet man. Nur wenn es um Gerätetreiber geht - Support für bestimmte Anbindungen - wird es knapp, da kann MS noch nachlegen. Schade, dass die volle R/W Office-App, HERE Music und HERE Maps nicht mehr beiliegen... wobei die MS Karten-App für den letzteren Fall ein guter Ersatz ist.Fazit: das Preisniveau ist im Vergleich zu einem Oberklasse-Smartphone von Apple, Samsung oder HTC sensationell. Ich bereute den Umstieg trotz einiger fehlender Apps nicht.

Windows 10 Mobile ist ja schon länger in der versenkung verschwunden.... Aber das Lumia 950 ist technisch immer noch ein Super Gerät. Performance unterschied zu einem Lumia 650 was ich vorher hatte ist schon gewaltig. Es gibt nichts zu meckern. Office, Email / Cloud Anbindung, Drucker Anbindung, alles ging auf dem Lumia 950 mit Windows 10 ohne Probleme. Alle lebensnotwendigen Dinge findet man im MS Store. Lustige und praktische Spielerei ist der Netzhaut Scan zum Anmelden.Die Dual Sim Funktionalität gefällt mir wesentlich besser als beim Android.

Es ist zwar traurig, das Microsoft sich bei Handies verabschiedet, hier wurde alles richtig gemacht. Die supercoolen Sprüche, das es nur wenige Apps gibt, kann ich nicht nachvollziehen, bisher fehlt mir nichts. Alles, was man für den Business Alltag benötigt ist (noch) vorhanden, mal sehen was daraus wird.

Ahora que Windows 10 phone (o como puñetas se llame) tiene sus horas contadas, los amantes de la tecnología en vitrina estamos de enhorabuena con productos como este. Teléfono mítico de la alianza fallida Microsoft-NOKIA, sensacional por su concepto holístico: cámara Zeiss de alta gama en móviles (las actuales son una cochambre en comparación), gran sonido, tamaño ideal para manejo con una mano, dual sim, carga inalámbrica, windows hello y batería extraíble que dura más que los conejitos de duracell. Y en cuanto al diseño, algo imperecedero, con un reborde en negro piano y el resto, adusto total. Genial para el precio y la oportunidad.

Sono molto soddisfatto della scelta.Per lavoro mi occorre un dual sim ed il precedente device android era drammaticamente lento ed irritante.Questo è veloce, comodo e pratico.Preciso che non frequento praticamente i social quindi non so come si comporti con un uso massiccio di facebook e compagnia.La batteria in ricarica scalda un po'.La presa USB-C è "furba" ma consiglio di dotarsi di adattatori per le emergenze

Das Lumia 950 ist nicht zu empfehlen, ich musste das Handy reklamieren und zurück schicken...es war nicht möglich sich mit WLAN zu verbinden das downloaden im App Store dauerte ewig obwohl Internet-Verbindung Top...dazu kommt das der Akku im Stand-by Modus vielleicht gerade mal 6 bis 7 Stunden hält im normalen gebrauch 4 Stunden...der Händler bei dem ich das Handy gekauft habe war sehr gut, das Handy wurde ohne Diskussion zurück genommen dafür Besten Dank und auch ein ganz großes Lob an Amazon für mich das Beste Unternehmen... Top Mitarbeiter das muss man wirklich mal sagen...

Cellulare arrivato senza il manuale in italiano.Completamente privo anche delle applicazioni base (Rubrica, Posta, Registro chiamate ecc.)In pratica una "scatola vuota" Neppure un riparatore di cellulari è stato in grado di metterlo in funzione.Restituito immediatamente. Amazon, puntualissima, mi ha già rimborsato totalmente l'acquisto sfortunato.Voto 10 ad Amazon, voto 2 al rivenditore

Il cellulare è arrivato con scatola sigillata ma appena aperto mi sono accorto che mancavano le pellicole sullo schermo e sull'obbiettivo, l'involucro della batteria era aperto e appariva già utilizzata perché era consumata sul punto in cui si leva dal telefono. Il venditore mi dovrà dare molte spiegazioni. Approntato e caricato il cellulare ho notato che è diventato incandescente durante il normale utilizzo e si scaricava subito. Lo ho caricato nuovamente alle 10:00 e alle 15:00 si era spento definitivamente. un danno e una delusione.

ich habe es ja gebraucht gekauft mit den Vermerk: leichte gebrauchspuren. die konnte ich aber bis heut noch nicht finden.das produkt funktioniert super und bin sehr zufrieden damit. das einzige blöde, ist dass es eine andere art von ladekabel benützt, die es fast sonst nicht gibt.noch ein hinweis: der akku dauert echt wenig, mann muss es praktisch jeden tag laden.

Bin mit 950 dual sim gut zufrieden. Hatte bisher lumia 920. Zwei Punkte sind mir aufgefallen, die nicht zufriedenstellend sind: der eingebaute Lautsprecher ist bei hoher Lautstärke etwas verzerrt, was z.B. bei Nutzung als Navi im Auto nervig ist. Zum Glück läßt sich via Bluetooth das 950 an Autotelefon koppeln, dann läuft die Ansage über Autoradio und ist prima.Daneben hatte ich Probleme mit dem Wlan. In größerer Entfernung zum Router stieg die Verbindung immer wieder aus, mit Lumia 925 (8.1) klappte es gut. In Foren wird häufiger das Problem geschildert, hab aber keine Lösung gefunden. Durch Zufall bin ich auf eine Lösung für mich gekommen: ich hatte versehentlich immer noch Bluetooth auf dem 950 eingeschaltet, das fordert wohl zuviel Sendeleistung zusammen mit dem Wlan. Nach Abschalten von Bluetooth läuft Wlan ohne Störungen.
