This unit is in my basement. It runs quietly, keeping humidity at 45*. I have it set for continuous drain, you can have it collect water in its internal tank but it will probably need to be emptied daily. It has an automatic shut off so it won't overflow. I'm happy with its performance. The only downside was the instructions are a little vague. To switch from tankto continuous drain there was a plug that needed to be removed, that step was left out of the instructions. Pretty easy to figure out how to setup and operate.

Only issue - The product description specifically states "Equipped with a 6.56ft drain hose." The drain hose is only 3 and 1/2 ft long that comes with it as you can see in my picture.Outside of that, it works very well so far and is not as loud as I thought it was going to be. It definitely has a mild noise when it runs. I ran it about half a day and it filled up the entire container but I live in the south where there's lots of humidity. I'll probably need to get a longer hose so that I can hook it up and drain it the way I originally planned.

I bought this for a fairly small finished basement, maybe 500 sq ft. I ran it on high and it barely dropped the humidity in the room. It is loud and puts out warm air. The tank is too small. I’ve had dehumidifiers forever and always there’s no way this is rated for 5500 sq ft, it can’t even do the job in a small space. Also the power button doesn’t work properly. Returned the item as it doesn’t perform as advertised.

very Quiet, humidity went from 74 to 53 in a couple of days in a large basement.I didnt see where the instructions stated there was a plug to remove under the cap and before connecting the drain hose. but figured it out.

I'm shocked. I live along the coast and moisture is a constant. A casual conversation with a person in a doctor's office convinced me to give a dehumidifier a try. It rained the first week I owned the dehumidifier and I emptied the tank once per day when the device signaled it was time. The tank holds 1.6 gallons. I have my unit set at 60% humidity. I really had no idea how well this would work. It was simple to configure and runs without my needing to do anything but empty the tank. I highly recommend it. I have only owned it for two weeks so can't speak to reliability.

This dehumidifier is very sleek looking and relatively quiet while operating. We have it in our basement and do not use the hose (which is laughable small). The reservoir is 1.5 gallon's and needs to be emptied twice a day. The controls are touch type and work well.

I bought this unit on the premise of its square foot capacity and rating. Since it is being used in an unfinished cellar, and there may be moisture infiltration through the foundation. It keeps the RH at 60 percent on damp days, and will drop to 45 percent on mild days. It is better than no dehumidifier, which allowed 85 percent to exist. The quality of the product is not questioned. The first one I ordered was reported lost. I received the second one ordered after weeks of determining the first one was lost. Thai is solved. It continues to run, and maintain an acceptable RH. There was no warranty, which I asked about prior to sale, and was told all info would be in the shipping box. I was not. If it ceases to operate, I have no recourse.

For what appeared to be a smaller unit upon delivery, this unit really compares to much larger size unit for taking the humidity out of our room. I am very pleased with this purchase. Unit is quiet, but yet works wonderfully!
