Worst electric knife sharpener ever! NEVER BUY IT!
I bought this product on amazon.com because I heard its a good electric knife sharpener. I have sharpened my knives with this recently and it ruined my knives. I have a $100 Wusthof and had to throw it in the trash after I used this machine thinking it would sharpen it but it didnt it bent it and made it so dull that the knife didnt chop anything. Another knife I needed to sharpen was my $179 miyabi kaizen and that one I also had to throw it away do to this knife sharpener not only not making it sharp but made my knife crack in half. I hate this knife sharpener and I RECOMMEND NO ONE TO BUY THIS AT ALL. I lost $279 worth of knives to this machine and when I called to return it they said "sorry that you lost $279 worth of knives but this is passed its return time, sorry we can't give you a refund". Now I am stuck with this crap. DO NOT EVER BUY THIS KNIFE SHARPENER EVER AT ALL, IT DULLS OUT, BRAKES, BENDS, AND DOESNT SHARPEN YOUR KNIFE. ONE CRAP OF AN ELECTRIC KNIFE SHARPENER. I REGRET BUYING IT AND AGAIN "DON'T EVER BUY THIS.

It works great.
I've used it a few times and I like how easy it is to sharpen knives. The only con I have to mention is that the metal shavings don't all get collected underneath inside. Some come outside when it's being used. But otherwise it was well worth the money. Just take your time and you'll have knives sharp enough to make O. J. Proud.

It will get the job done
This is a very basic sharpener. If your looking for something high end or have very expensive knifes I wouldn’t recommend it I have cheap knifes that I just wanted to get in the somewhat sharp zone and didn’t really care to have a super polished up looking blade. It does the job just fine for the basic kitchen knife set.

Wouldn't buy this again.
I'm dissapointed. I read the instructions, several times. The unit jams or binds when you place the order knife blade in the second (the 2nd slot from the left). I try doing it in a way that allows the sharpening stone to spin but I get inconsistent results. This just is poor quality manufacturing.

Great sharpener at a reasonable price.
All my knives are sharper than new. What a great move buying this sharpener. Only one problem: the magnet was not attached to the door. The glue used in manufacture did not hold. Easy fix. Gorilla glue works fine.

My knives are sharp after using once. I have used several other methods over the years and this is the best, recommend!

Feels kinda cheap
Actually dulled some of my knives even more, and I let me father try it, and it did the same to his knives. I'll stick with a wetstone and sandpaper

Simple to use and really works well
I should have taken both before and after pictures. I was afraid to try this because of a past experience. This is easy to use and does a fantastic job in sharpening knives. The knife i started with is over 50 years old and has not been used in over 40 years. I The knife is now able to be used again and the Edgekeeper Sharpner now has a prominent place on my kitchen counter so I csn use it whenever I needThank you!

Compact and best quality.
