Connectland ANTI-SL-001 Anti-Theft Device for USB Stick

Didn't work. Set the lock, put the USB in, then the USB wouldn't come out. After much fiddlng the USB stick came out, but the lock was in the "shut" position, so we couldn't get the USB stick back in, nor change the code, nor use the lock again.Thank goodness nothing of importance was on the USB stick!

Das Schloss ist leider aus Kunststoff und nicht sehr hochwertig. Geöffnet wird es durch einstellen des Codes, d.h. ohne weiteres Drücken eines Knopfes o.Ä.. Dadurch und durch die einfache Verarbeitung lässt sich das Schloss relativ leicht öffnen indem man die Räder so lange dreht bis man "etwas spürt". Das kann nun wirklich jeder und entsprechend bietet das Schloss keine besondere Sicherheit, bestenfalls eine Abschreckung.Bei dem Preis darf man aber auch nichts anderes erwarten.Für ein besseres System und als Metallversion würde ich durchaus mehr zahlen.

Teniendo en cuenta el precio, es genial. Lo voy a utilizar para hacer escape rooms con mis alumnos. Se acopla perfectamente y tiene un aspecto elegante. He pedido dos más.

S’est ouvert sans même le code juste en tirant dessus. C’était pour un cadeau sous forme d’enigmes,ça a gâcher tout les efforts mis en œuvre. :/

alors, l'idée est pas mal , mais , niveau code , il y a mieux a faire , avec un cadenas a clef ou 1 chiffre de + pour le code cela aurai été un peu mieux !!! la avec 1 doigt, en faisant tourner la molette des chiffre au pif, n'importe qui trouve le code !!!les chiffres se bloquent automatiquement sur le bon code , reste plus cas tiré , et ça s'ouvre ! avec un couteau ou un tournevis, on peu l'ouvrir, c'est du simple plastique !! donc ne protège rien du tout, ou juste contre les petit enfants a la rigueur

This is the biggest joke I have ever come across. You don't even need to set a code because all you have to do is lightly pull while you rotate the tumblers and it will easily stop on the correct code. This gives anyone the ability to get to your drive without any problems. And even if the thief is stupid enough not to figure that out, they can easily break the stupid lock with very little effort.The lock is SUPER cheap and SO EASY to break into two seperate pieces.Don't waste your money. This is about as effective as putting a rubberband around your wallet...

the lock mechanism does work. It will keep family members or co-workers from accessing your files. Lock housing assembly is made of plastic, the thumb wheels are metal. It does the intended job. However I don't over look the possibility that if crushed in a vise this could easily be defeated. The instructions say that it can be re-programed to another 3 digit code. Haven't tried that yet.However you get what you pay for, and for under $5.00 dollars i really didn't expect a lot. Gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the plastic housing.

I had given up looking for encryption software and saw this device. Problem solved? Not really. I set the code, and the device locks. Without looking at the device, I can spin the dials back and forth and in 15 seconds or so, the device opens. I guess if you didn't know that little trick it would be secure. I have even demonstrated it for my friends at the lunch table by never taking my eyes off of theirs and bingo, the device opens. I guess it is better than nothing.

I bought this as a fun little thing to get and heres what i think of it. It works as described and nothing wrong with it. I would not recommend this if you want to use it to protect you flashdrive from criminals as they could break it with a hammer. But I would recommend it for anyone as it definitely stops the average person from getting into it like family or friends. All in all its a great little gift for someone who has a flashdrive.

I just received the USB Drive Security Lock and it works great. Online there is many flash drives that lock with a fancy keypad on the outside. These flash drives are very expensive. WIth this the price is good and it keeps your information secure to some extent. I would like to have known that is the lock code preset or can you set it? This product is great except for the size of the product because it is a bit bulky. Also some flash drives like the San Disk Cruzer Blade dont work as well as your lower end flash drives. Other then that, this is a great product.

I purchased this lock for my usb drive just to keep spying eyes off my work. let me tell you that for my purposes it does it job well (just don't leave the usb lock set on your 3 digit combination laying around)and for $5.00 you can't go wrong!
