I was a little nervous to buy a lower-priced espresso machine relative to others. I worried it would break quickly, I’ve heard the pumps go first. However, I’ve been pleasantly surprised! With daily use, the machine is going strong. It makes a great cup of espresso, and the steamer froths up milk very well. It’s easy to use, not too many buttons/levers/dials for a beginner. I definitely recommend this as a starter machine if you’re just getting into making espresso at home. I have recommended this machine to my friends, too! I did buy a new tamper, the plastic one with the scoop on the other end was not very useful. No leaks, noise is not an issue, and it’s been easy to maintain.

Update! MAttinata is sending us a replacement, so 5 stars for excellent customer service. This little machine makes wonderful coffee, better than other larger, big brand, machines I've used. We're going to treat is extremely gently this time around, resting it between coffees, in the hopes that we have many years to enjoy it thoroughly.Would recommend.Formerly -We've had this machine for 6 weeks and loved it. We cleaned it every day, kept the water reservoir full, used it every morning for a fantastic cup of coffee. We have a small kitchen so the size was perfect.Sadly, this morning it died. I went to make my coffee and none of the function lights turned on and none of the functions were working. So far, no response from Mattinata. I'll give them time but this great little espresso machine is probably kaput.I recommend this machine to anyone who uses is VERY LIGHTLY. We normally made 4 - 5 expressos every morning, with foam as well. It doesn't seem like it can handle that. I'm so sad about this because it was so simple to use, simple to clean, a marvelous espresso machine.

I've had this for over a year now and am still very happy with it! It's used at least 5x week for me and the BF. It's still going with no problems! Very easy to use. We don't use the frother very often, just lazy. When I do use it, it works great! Honestly, we've been slack about cleaning it properly, regularly, still no problems. Nice and.compact, too.I bought this to see of we would actually use an espresso machine enough to make it worthwhile to invest in a "bigger, better" one. And we have!Definitely worth it if you're on the fence!

Machine seems a little finicky at times, but it makes a consistent cup of ExpressoI have 0 regrets buying this Expresso machine.I'm not sure if I was not following instructions exactly or not, but there have been times where the wand(to make froth) went wack for a minute and I'd have to shut the machine off then on again, but I have not had that issue as of recent. Basically, the wand would not work at all, or would spew out a tiny bit of water. It is entirely possible I was not fully following instructions. The instructions are kind of weird.It is obviously not as powerful as a 10,000 Italian Expresso machine, but it is definitely worth the price.I'd give this one a shot, but use it as much as you can before your 30 days are up.That should be a good test to see if yours is a keeper.

I love this machine! Tried several others, was disappointed with the way my coffee turned out.This one really does make delicious full bodied coffee!This is the second machine that I’ve ordered. Unfortunately, I had the first one on top of my stove & the tank melted permanently to the base. from the heat rising from the oven. 😱So a word of caution to not put it near heat.

Was very excited to get this cute little espresso machine. However, it only worked well for the first 3 days. After that it immediately broke. (Now, when I go to make espresso or froth milk, the buttons blink and nothing happens - no foam/pressure, no espresso).Disappointing! Not only from the perspective of it not working, but also the hassle of bringing it back for return (time investment), and the carbon emissions / enviro impact of a defective product.Looking at the reviews, this issue seems common, which makes me think tons of these are sitting a in a landfill. :(

MACHINE is excellent!!! However, I may have to go Italy to learn how to properly froth.the milk..any advice would appreciate!But rest assured that I WILL MASTER THIS ART!!!

I bought one, and it's noisy, buzzes. I programmed it to dispense twice as much for each 1 cup and 2 cup by following the programming for setting and resetting the amount dispensed for each.. The old machine, tho buzzy, did in fact dispense the correct amount for me 1 cup = 4 oz, 2 cups = 8 oz. The factory is 1 cup = 2 oz, and the 2 cups = 4 oz. this default is for those small espresso cups. but can be programmed for coffee mugs that are 8 oz.However, I didn't like the buzzing, so I decided to get a replacement, but I planned to test them side by side. A). it didn't buzz like the first one B) it refused to accept the programming on the 1 cup, 2 cup. to increase the dispensing by double so the 2 cup would = 8 oz. IT WOULD NOT Program, each test it produced half of what I wanted. To sit and press two cycles to dispense what I wanted, means sitting and waiting..This device.. 2 out of 2 machines, one worked, the newer one did not.. I'll put up with some annoying buzzing, but I'd rather it dispense what I want; so the possibility that these devices are not properly tested at the manufacture (in china, of course); So, the new one is going back now..Buyer beware.
