I bought a US version by mistake and I couldn’t fit it on my mortise lock. So I reached out to Switchbot support who managed to push EU firmware OTA on my Switchbot lock pro that made it compatible with my mortise lock. I told them what happened and they were generous enough to send me the mounting plates for mortise lock for free of charge.

I received the product and set it up - that part was really straightforward and easy. Less than 2 days later, it completely stopped working. The app showed no response and the device wouldn’t respond after changing batteries either. Amazon promptly offered me a refund. I then found the same product at a local seller at a discounted price and decided to buy the replacement from there, thinking that I must have received a one-off defective unit. I set up the replacement unit and that worked for under a week and then it is back to the same situation - the device does not respond and it fully stops working. There is a reason why this product is significantly cheaper than similar retrofit smart locks from companies like Nuki or Aqara. I’d strongly recommended against buying this product.

This is a horrible lock. Gets "jammed" all the time. It got jammed while we were out. We couldn't get back inside the house because the lock wouldn't open the door and keeps saying "lock is jammed". Me and my whole family (including children) were stranded outside our own house because of this horrible lock.I had to bread open the door and damage the frame. I will raise an official complaint against Switchbot.
