Much better and more detailed than the local tourist maps you get for free. Compact and easy to use.

A great map. Good size and toughened paper - wears well, despite being exposed to the elements in November. Also, it's as if it is hardwired to fold back into its compact shape. The font size on the pop-ups map a bit too much for my eyes these days, so this Lonely Planet map was just the ticket. Buy with confidence - and have a great time. Boston is fascinating.

This one is a winner, waterproof, easy to fold, contains useful tips about visiting the city, and a map of the centre of the transit system. Plus local must sees, and a case to keep it in.If you are planning only to visit the core, this is a great buy.
