Use only tap water. They have very specific directions pertaining to use of distilled.

Q: Does this iron have an automatic shut off? As a quilter, that's a feature I don't want.

It does not have an auto shut off. I'm returning it.

Q: How to clean it from the inside (steamer only works if you have it in steam)?

I never really checked how to clean it however, it will steam when it is on steamer and steam iron, so always make sure it is not on dry press because it won't steam on that option.
