We bought this ladder to access a loft I built above a new walk-in closet. It was a little tedious to assemble, but definitely worth it. It doesn't get a ton of use, the grandkids didn't take to the loft like I thought they would, but it's nice & sturdy. I weigh over 200 lbs. and have no issue climbing up and down.It tucks up tight to the wall when not in use, and it's still stable in the upright position. Very happy with the fit and function.

I installed it on one side of my tall bookshelf, and the overall effect is amazing, instantly giving me the feeling of an old-fashioned library or European attic. It uses a lightweight aluminum structure, which is effortless to move but very stable. There is no shaking or unsteady feeling when climbing up. The design of the handrail is also a special plus, making it safer to go up and down the ladder, especially for people like me who often have to get things from high places. The slide system is very smooth, and it can slide back and forth with a light push. It is very convenient for daily use, and it does not get in the way when the ladder is put away. The included brake wheels are also very practical. They can be locked when not in use to prevent the ladder from moving around. I installed it next to the bookshelf and usually put it there as a decoration. The track length is 4 feet, which is enough for a medium-width bookshelf, and the track can be extended as needed.

No handrails came at all even though they were advertised with. Didn't have time or patience to re-box and send back. The 3 stars are basically for the misleading advertisement. But it's also very apparent the ladder wasn't made to have have rails as there are NO screw holes to attach to.The ladder and the library rail, however, works great. Definitely pay attention to what side is the top and bottom so you install the step tends in the correct direction. Overall, it was simple to put together and looks very nice. Seems sturdy and rolls side to side smoothly. Brakes seem to work.It's just unfortunate that it didn't come with the handrails and we paid for a product that was incomplete.

I needed to raise the location of the handrails because they we essentially too low to the ground and did not help as you got closer too the top. I just re-drilled the holes higher to raise the rails up by about 2 ft. Ladder works good for my needs now.

It is especially suitable for families with children at home. The hook track system is a little technical to install, but the instructions are clear. I spent some time aligning and fixing the track and everything went smoothly. The whole installation looks very professional. Moreover, the ladder can be telescopic and folded. After use, it can be pushed back to the side, which does not take up space and has no effect on daily life.

Finally! I can live out my dreams of a home library. I have high ceilings in my house and I bought this house so that I could install a secret library with a hidden bookcase door and stained glass windows. This brings me one step closer to building it. It is well made, fits the aesthetic, easy to install and the hand rails are perfect for safety!

The library ladder is a sleek, rolling marvel for making you feel like Belle from Beauty and the Beast. It glides smoothly and locks safely. The design adds loft charm, and I'm also using it to access a waterfall feature I installed in my study. My uncle loved it, grabbing books with ease, although he left it up to me to put them back. Easy assembly, minimal fasteners, pieces glide into place through a loop system.

For the most part this is a fine ladder. Lightweight and sturdy. The directions aren't easy to read, and I bought it because it came with a handrail, however, no handrails came with the ladder. It functions but isn't perfect.
