Q: I have a sp1610-z-1-mnsc hayward pump. the seal the pump had john crane 5/8 56 written on it. will this kit fit? thanks bart

The # SP1610Z1MNSC is a maxrated 1-1/2 HP motor. If that is installed on a Super II Pump then the # SPX1600Z2 is the correct Seals Assembly. It not only fits to the motor shaft but also to the seal plate of the pump housing. This Seal Assembly is also used on Super Pump models and MaxFlo models.

Cant say, I found there r 2 sizes large and small, I first bought the wrong size from Leslies(not knowing there r 2 sizes), then took a chance and ordered the Right size here! Measure ur old Teflon seal and order appropriately!
