The Ego and the Dynamic Ground: A Transpersonal Theory of Human Development: A Transpersonal Theory of Human Development, Second Edition

This is an excellent review of important themes in transpersonal psychology, it creates a complete model of human development. The writing is more difficult than some better known transpersonal books, but also has the ring of authentic academic work, something often missing in the field. The treatment of themes from developmental psychology and psychoanalysis is outstanding.

Very stimulating ideas - one of the few transpersonal alternatives to Ken Wilber - and an excellent transpersonal re-imagining of Freud's developmental theories. The only drawback is a rather dry academic written style.
