Tim Minchin Live: Ready For This? [Blu-ray]

I enjoyed this dvd but I would be very careful who is in the room when I show it again. I was going to put an age limit on this, but I would even be embarrassed if my 18yr granddaughter was in the room, although she's broad minded theres a limit to what one would share. I certainly wouldn't share it with my elderly family either.So it kind of means a certain mindset can watch and enjoy.Having said all that, Tim Minchin is sooo talented as a musician and a writer and a performer. Personally I could watch him forever as he fascinates me with his speed of delivery and his memory! Loved it.

I'm moving abroad, so I planned to copy this to my hard disk and watch it later, but WHOOPS, I guess I naively assumed Universal UK wasn't filled with a bunch of cocks who would hinder the lawful use of my purchase.After I tried three different programs, one finally managed to rip my DVD. Result: The sound is distorted, and I will have to take the pirated video file I got from a torrent with me. Great experience, thank you Universal!P.S.: No one from Universal customer service answered me within two weeks when I brought this up.

Not sure I need to add any more than that really.Having only seen some clips previously, I was expecting a behind the piano type show but there was an equal amount of being on stage addressing the audience too.He's almost in the same league as Bill Hicks for me, although more lovable & less embarrassing to watch with your folks.Possibly have a bit of a Tim Minchin crush now & will definitely be watching more.And respect to the Aussies for bringing us some far more interesting & highly talented entertainers!

Very happy with this. In my opinion, not as good overall as a show as the first DVD, but well worth buying as it's still a very good DVD. Includes the brilliant beat-poem Storm and many more. You get your moneys-worth with a decent-length show and can watch it over and over again as it's not just a comedy show, also a brilliant music show.

There is little point in sitting down to enjoy this if you are upset by colourful language but if you looking for an inventive, thought provoking and deeply intelligent young man then look no further, you have found him. He makes you laugh and he makes you think. Musically he is stunning and I defy anyone not to shed a small tear at "White Wine in the Sun" especially at this time of year.

Tim Minchin = awesome. Brilliant musician and comical genius! His set lightly dusted with his amazing piano skills and songs!!! Not the newest of shows - but, includes the classic "Canvas Bags", "Prejudice" - AND a SONGBOOK of the show - so you can start learning his songs...Its brilliant!!! AWESOME BUY! AND WORTH EVERY PENNY! :-)

I am a huge Tim Minchin fan! Loved this DVD, the songs are great, and funny because of how true they are! Give him a try, you either love him or hate him, but you won't know until then!The DVD arrived on time, was packaged well, no problems at all!

Tim is a wonderful person and a fantastic comedian!

Unglaublich lustig und tief! Super, kann ich jedem nur empfehlen. Man muss aber schon ordentlich englisch koennen, ansonsten ist es schwer manchmal mit zu kommen. Die subtitles helfen da natuerlich auch :)

Für alle Tim Minchin Fans ein Muss. Die DVD zeigt eine Mischung aus neuen Stücken und alten Klassikern. Natürlich sind gute Englischkenntnisse erforderlich. Ich kann die DVD wärmstens weiter empfehlen.
