This has worked very well for figuring out your handlebar angle
Original stem was too low and I needed a more upright riding position so I got this stem to figure out what angle I needed. I thought this wouldn't hold up and once I gauged what angle was most comfortable, I'd swap it out with a fixed stem of that angle. Over two years on and it's still holding up. I've hit some major jarring pot holes and been pounded by uneven concrete but it has held up to the point, I don't need to swap it out.

So far so good at 30 degree angle
I have a 26" bike and it's just a bit too small for me. I don't like hunching over to the handlebars since I have to raise the seat for the best pedaling and the handlebar doesn't adjust. The solution? Raise the handlebars with this! Rides fine. One thing I did notice though is that I'm putting a lot of pressure down on the handlebars now with my arms. You'd think it would be the opposite: raised = less pressure because center of gravity is higher, but nope, it's like my arms are a part of the bike now, locked on to the handebars. It's OK, part of the workout. The brakes are also a bit easier to reach. Definitely recommend it for anyone that didn't buy a custom-fit bike.

Works with a caveat
Works well in the end. However the mentioned Torque is not sufficient since it came loose going over a bump in the middle of a ride. Luckily I carry an Allen wrench on my bike. However if you have carbon handlebars this may not work for you since the torque spec is likely for carbon. Otherwise you can tighten more than mentioned torque and this seems to work for me.

Does the trick...finally a comfortable riding position
Like many buyers I purchased this item to experiment with the angle settings to find what works best. Having said that it's very nicely made and stays put with no rattles or loosening so I may just leave it on. I have a road hybrid that I've converted into an urban commuter and this makes all the difference in the world. I should point out that I replaced the straight bars on my bike with Origin8 Urban-Pro riser bars and also added a 55mm stem riser. Those items helped but the additional rise and closer positioning of the bars really makes it perfect.

good item, but heavy
Didn't serve the purpose for me, but it is a good stem. It is heavy, which is another reason why you may not want it. I was trying to make it work on a bike where weight wouldn't matter, but it didn't fit the bill. I am still keeping it because I could see some possible use for it in the future.

This adjustable gooseneck allowed me to slightly raise the bars and simultaneously bring them back towards here to shorten the d
Bought for my daughters bike. She is between a pre-teen size bike and an adult bike. We fitted her to my wife's mountain bike. This adjustable gooseneck allowed me to slightly raise the bars and simultaneously bring them back towards here to shorten the distance she needed to comfortably reach to the handlebars. Works perfectly, and when she grows a little more I can later re-adjust to push the bars out. Means she will be able to use this bike through to when she is full grown. Probably saved me the cost of an intermediate bike!

Good product for the price.
I'm not sure what all the bad reviews are about. I installed this on my mtn bike with a rear hub motor and it works fine. Stays where I put it and holds tight. Having adjustibility makes a world of difference if comfort is your goal. Obviously you have to use some common sense and don't try to over tighten the bolts. This is not stainless steel. I didn't even use thread lock and it's holding good. Update: After about a year and over 800 miles through rain, snow, ice and summer, I have had no problems whatsoever.

A bit wobbly.
Not the greatest build quality. A bit loose even when torqued to spec. It's on my indoor training bike, so I'm not too worried, alothough I wouldn't put it on one of my "real" bikes.
