Good but buyer beware!
I am not a diabetic but I bought this glucose monitoring system to track spikes in my glucose levels for dietary reasons. I love the large numbers, the time tested accuracy, and mostly the downloadable software and USB port to track your data on your computer!! The dissapointment is upon arrival it came with NO test strips!!! And to make matters even worse you can't buy the test strips at ANY retail stores. I called and customer support is sending 10 free strips but in the meantime my device will sit on my desk. If I was diabetic and I needed more test strips in a hurry this would be a HUGE problem. Buyer beware.

Nice meter with repeatable readings
PROS:seems to work quite well, meter readings do not vary much when using the control solution which is nice as you want a repeatable device (gives you a bit more confidence that the reading you get is probably something you can trust). The wavesense IPAD app is a very nice and simple way to chart things (anybody can use it, BTW). Their website talks about a cable to directly connect the jazz to your ipad coming "soon".CONS:read carefully; does NOT include any test strips...not even ONE.when I received the unit...dead batteriesthe test strips are pricey and you had better plan on ordering them as they are not in stores it seemslancing device, well...it has to poke your finger so that's always a CON no matter what hehethe way the jazz sits in the included carry case, it buttons tends to snag on the plastic overlay it slips into..a nit if you like to take it out. I "suspect" their intent was that you leave the meter in when using it but I do not like to do that.

20 Century Software
I originally bought this because I had read a recent article that showed it to be more accurate than the more popular monitors. I was really attracted by the fact that you can download software onto your computer that will then monitor your levels, with graphs statistics dates times etc. Unfortunately the software only works with...wait for it...Windows XP! WTF that's two operating systems ago. Sooo the software does not work and the computer doesn't even recognize the device. I gave it three stars for accuracy. With updated software i would give it a 4.5 easy. (Not five simply because the test strips are really expensive.
