After 7 other litter boxes, this is the VERY BEST & LEAST EXPENSIVE!
I've purchased 8 litter boxes in the last year, spending over $500 on them all. I'm so excited to say that I've FINALLY found the very best one! And the fact that it's the least expensive of all the ones I've purchased is the icing on the cake. This litter box is so perfect precisely because of its simplicity. My cat loves to kick his litter everywhere. So, after 5 boxes that had varying degrees of high walls, I realized I needed to get a full enclosure box. This is the third I've gotten. The first two had walls + top you assembled and a pull out bottom tray. DO NOT GET THOSE! The assembled walls have thin open spaces that still allow litter to get out, and the bottom trays only slide out after you have manually brushed the litter inside them flat. Then, I was having to use a large paint brush to remove all the litter he'd kicked up onto the horizontal ledges all over the inside of the walls. And, even after doing that, it made a mess EVERYWHERE when trying to sift the litter clean. This is an extremely straight forward box. No bottom tray (yay!) no crevices for litter to get caught or kicked into = NO MESS AT ALL! I've had to keep honeycomb mats under the previous boxes to trap the litter he got in his paws, but this one has the ridges built into the top to catch it all before he steps off it.Brilliant design, super easy to remove the top, and such a cinch to clean!I let my cat play in it for about 6 hours before filling it up, just to be sure he would like it. He loves it.The hole is also big enough for a large cat---I'd say up to 20 lbs or so. My cat is 10 lbs and there's a huge amount of space for him.And the box itself is also definitely big enough for average Maine Coons, if you were wondering. But its rounded shape means it takes up considerably less floor space than square boxes.A truly innovative design, as litter boxes go.

Great litter box
I got this litter box about a year and a half ago or so for my two cats. I’ve absolutely loved this box since I got it. Since it’s a closed top it has helped us with litter tracking tremendously, we put a litter catcher mat under it for the litter that does get on the floor, but it’s minimal and that issue has pretty much resolved itself, plus most of the litter that does make it out of the box falls off cats paws onto the top of the box with the ridges it has. I was a bit skeptical about how sturdy the box was going to be since reading reviews before I bought it, but it’s been over a year now and we’ve had no problems with it falling apart or breaking in any way, my one boy is almost 17lbs now and still no issues, I believe this box was just made really well or I’m getting lucky. It helps tremendously with the smell too, I’ve noticed that compared to my other open litter box it traps most smells and my home and the bathroom it’s in stays smelling clean, unless you were to get the box rancid but I think a responsible cat owner won’t have that problem! It’s easy to clean, sleek looking, cats can’t kick litter out of it, easily accessible when going to clean, and you don’t have to stare at litter every time you see it! My cats love it, if they haven’t changed the manufacturing of the box 11/10 recommend I wouldn’t get another box unless it was that litter robot or something!

This was probably one of the best purchases I have made In. My. Entire. Life.To start, I felt the need to mention that I hardly leave typed reviews-- but this beauty box absolutely warranted one!I have three loving tomcats. Two are well above 13lbs, while the third is way smaller - I'd say about 5lbs. They all use one litter box.Now I know what you're thinking. "Three male cats using ONE litterbox?? INSANITY!!!"No, it's not nearly as bad as you think. But before I bought this, I had a traditional colossal-sized that had the side door. Nothing fancy, just huge. It came with one of those cheap doors, but they would not enter with it on. They just did not like it.I don't know why but every single time they used the box, they would jump out with litter dust too. It would be all over the bathroom floor. It happens so much that the handheld vaccum that I kept in there had to be replaced with an actual vaccum.I have OCD with compulsive cleaning, so I would vaccum multiple times a day. The thought of stepping on any litter bits sends in a spiral. But I'm not even halfway done. Whenever my fiancé would replace the litter, the boys will have a field day. Typical, right? However, my smallest cat...I swesr thst little guy has horse legs! Before he would go, he would kick and splash all inside the darn thing. And he would do it for almost an hour! Constantly digging as if it were some sort of game! You can hear the litter flying OUT of the box and smacking against the bathroom closet wall. Every. Time. And because of this, when they would go number #2, it would smell a billion times worse--because there would be little to zero litter to cover it! BECAUSE ITS ALL AGAINST THE WALL!!!It may sound silly but this was affecting not only me, but my fiance as he constantly had to make trips to get new litter. The crashing sound of fresh litter smacking the bathroom wall in the middle of the night. Me constantly vacuuming. Litter feet. Ugh.This is where our new savior was blessed upon us**WHERE THE ACTUAL REVIEW BEGINS**It is huge. PERFECT. I have three cats and two of them are very big boys. (two 1yr 15lbs each and one 7mo 5lb.)At first they were really skeptical of it's presence. What I had to do was to put a couple treats inside the box, without litter. I also put a couple toys inside, to show that this thing was completely harmless. It took a moment, but two of them were taking turns hopping in and out of it! Bliss! The third still was having trust issues, and refused to enter. So my fiance decided to put it to the true test and actually put litter in it. And to my surprise, they were trying to use it AS he were placing the litter inside! They jump through the hole with ease. The ridges on the lid help a ton with shaving off excess litter off their paws. (We cut their nails every 2 weeks so that'll help too.) And just incase we still have litter catch mats placed underneath.everything had been bliss since this purchase. Now there will be tiny bits of litter here and there on the main bathroom floor, but that's it. Nothing more! I've finally put away my large heavy duty vaccum as there is no need anymore. My little guy still has his litter-kicking-digging-splash fest, and every bit of it is contained. This box prevents splash 100%. And I have noticed that the smell has been covered better! The lock feature is so easy to use - just push the two side buttons in and lift the top. Easy!!!!!This litter box has saved my Mentality !! NO LITTER FEET!!! THANK YOU AMAZON

doesn’t really stop litter messes
i think these look nice and are super easy to clean. the entrance is big enough and our cats fit in these just fine (they’re decent sized boys, 12 and 15 pounds.) the top does catch some litter, but i still end up with a ton on my floor even with a litter mat down. i was worried how the top would hold weight based on the assembly but we’ve had no issues. these are large and really good for the price.

Great litter box.
I love the look and tidiness of this litter box. Only one of my cats is brave enough to use it however. My other one doesn’t like to be so enclosed. It’s easy to clean, easy to assemble and also came with a handy scoop that hangs off the side.

No more puddles
My cat has started to wee standing up so was coming over the top of her current tray which was not a pleasant thing cleaning a puddle up every day. This box is the perfect height as she can do what she wants and I don't have the horrible mess or smells anymore. It's OK to scoop out littler and just wipes clean ready to refill with fresh. Glad I chose this as there is also less litter spread outside of the box.

Excelente arenero
The media could not be loaded.

Holds up over time, great odour control
I've had two of these top entry litter boxes now for one year. They are excellent. The products have not aged - they look as clean and new as they did a year ago. They are very easy to clean out. I have had to wash them fully a few times and yes it's a bit bulkier than when washing a pan litter box but the plastic is very durable and feels like it doesn't retain any stains or odour whatsoever. When you clean it, it feels clean afterwards. They are definitely superior at odour control and litter mess to a regular litter box. I live in a very small apartment and there is nowhere to put my litter boxes except in the front entry closet as you enter my apartment. Previously, my two cats would strew litter particles all over the apartment. These are now by-and-large captured by the lid of the box. There is still some mess at the front of the boxes, but hardly any comparative to what it was before, and no litter trails anywhere else in the apartment. When I have guests over, I don't need to worry that the choice of the cats will lead to an unpleasant odour that everyone can smell.A few things about switching over and cat behaviour after the fact:1. I find the cats are less diligent about covering their business, because I think they can't figure out how to do it. So I sometimes have to do this for them now, which I guess is a drawback. But the superior odour control makes this point feel moot to me, because before they would cover their business and it still smelled awful. That's no longer the case2. I tried to switch my cats over gently - with an open top pan litter still available. But they simply wouldn't do it if that was an option, I think it's just easier for them. On that basis I do not think this would work for a senior cat or cats with joint pain. I accept I'll have to switch away from these boxes when my cats are older. To get mine to switch I literally just threw out the pan boxes, and I had one top-entry box with the lid on, and one top-entry box with the lid off, so they could get used to its configuration. After a few days, I put the lid on both of them, and then the cats had switched over. The truth is they probably prefer a simpler box, but that's not my problem and their mental health doesn't appear to be impacted by this new system. They're just used to it now and think this is how using the litter works!
