MAXXTBrushless 5.0mm Random Orbital Sander 230V Multi-Function 125mm&150mm Variable Speed Electric Orbital Sander with 10 Sanding Discs for Woodworking

A recent job was sanding and refinishing 12 scaffold board tables for a wedding venue. I started off with my Makita 125mm orbital and immediately realised it was going to take months. I researched orbital sanders and found that what I needed was an aggressive 5.0mm orbit with a low profile handle for comfort. Mirka was the go to tool but its price was prohibitive. The Maxxt had all good reviews and seemed to fit the bill at a good price. When it came I set it up with 80 grit mesh and attached a Trend shop vac. This is what I found:1. So, so quiet.2. So comfortable. I did a 6 hour stint and I was a little tired but non of that tingly vibration thing that aches your wrist and weakens your grip.3. About 95% less dust than my old sander.4. Clears through the wax varnish and stain to the bare wood in a quarter of the time.5. It still produced a super fine finish when I put a 180 grit mesh on to finish.So, one of my better purchases and nothing disappointing about it. I would advise you use the mesh type sanding discs with it, they last and you don’t have to bother trying to line up the holes in the pad. It almost makes sanding fun. Almost.

The build quality is great very comfortable to use for hours perfect size with the two pad sizes supplied and no vibration to talk about such a huge upgrade from my battery one the difference of constant power is very noticeable wish I had got it long time ago but on a budget and thi blew it but well worth it

The media could not be loaded. Originally very happy and impressed with this sander. I got it in march, used it maybe 5 times and now it's June and it just decided to stop working. The engine dropped on power to the point I could stop the dlisc with my hand, and then stopped working all together. Wondering if I can still get my money back?

Put up with my ‘cheap ‘ 125mm ROS for years - nothing wrong with it - so I thought- apart from completely Numb tingly hands and deafness as it was so loud!! I splashed out on this after reading reviews and boy is it worth it!! Much quieter- does NOT give numb tingling hands!! Incredible performance- I’ve only used the 150mm and supplied mesh paper - does the sanding in less than 1/2 the time - no dust with extractor - quieter - It really is worth the extra money - used it all day and brilliant- double the sanding- less noise - and hands felt completely feel normal afterwards! Highly recommended as you can tell!

I've been looking at up-grading my sander for a while. As I couldn't justify buying a Mirka, I looked long and hard at this one. Fortunately, it went on offer at a time when I had a little spare cash so I took the plunge. Having used it on a couple of projects, I am pleased with my purchase.It is very quiet in use, much quieter than any other sander that I own. Low vibration and comfortable to hold, no more tingly fingers. Also, the dust collection is very good with the supplied sanding mesh, although I have not tried any other abrasive yet.In summary, quiet, clean, comfy and leaves a nice finish. I'm happy with it.

Updated after 8 months use: have uprated to five stars. Absolutely no issues - has performed faultlessly. No problems with packaging and delivery. Used for light sanding albeit medium duration. Appreciate memory & vacuum functions & generous cable length. Recommend (mesh) 3m cubitron II xtract paper discs and an interface pad for example Sabrecut (thick) pad or Bosch (thin) one for general use. Sands everything down very quickly to a smooth finish. Much less vibration compared to Ryobi one+ ROS and hardly any dust. To adapt to a vacuum hose - place its hose inside the actual hose (attachments removed) of a shop vac, if diameter permits. Recommended.

The media could not be loaded. Great product. I have done so much manual hand sanding over the years (as a DIYer)...doors, skirting boards, window shelfs etc, so wish I had gone this sooner. Its effortless. So easy to change the sanding pads - lots of different ones available. So quick and easy to sand - leaves a perfect surface in seconds. I have used on painted wooden surfaces and walls (for polyfilla etc).The dust collection is ok i attach my industrial hoover so almost dust freeOverall I recommend this product.

My Mirka full extract sander broke and I replaced it with this for 1/3 of the price. To be honest I can’t tell the difference, my Mirka sanding discs fit as does the extraction hose.Would highly recommend.

My last project ( approximately ) 50 mdf doors this sander handled without any issues . I only used it for about a week so far , ergonomic is way better than my old Makita orbital sander, less fatigue , less vibration from the unit . 6" size is a huge upgrade compared to 5" for this price especially I'm quite happy so far. longevity is a Question but I use it on separate circuit with vacuum as other buyers suggested , works no problem .

The media could not be loaded. Pour ma femme qui fait souvent des travaux dans son boulot et à la maison. Le câble est épais et costaud ce qui est rassurant pour éviter un court circuit ou une surchauffe. Elle trouve pratique la pédale de mise en route et d'arrêt immédiat quand elle la relâche, elle est bien positionnée et évite de chercher le bouton. Elle n'est pas très lourde et plutôt maniable pour ma femme, on cherche des outils qui s'adaptent à sa morphologie. Elle s'en est déjà servie en intérieur et en extérieur grâce à la prise ou on peut brancher un aspirateur, ça permet de ne pas mettre de la poussière de ponçage de partout. Elle est plutôt contente de son efficacité dans le sens ou elle n'a pas besoin de passer plusieurs fois au même endroit pour poncer correctement. Elle fait énormément de relooking de meubles et elle ponce beaucoup avant de les repeindre. Pour le moment avec un usage plutôt intense, rien à redire, pas de faiblissement du moteur comme d'autres auparavant, à voir dans le temps si elle garde sa ligne de conduite.
