Product Description Recorded throughout 2012 and 2013 with producers Rory Atwell and MJ from Hookworms, the aptly-titled 'Grin' is eleven tracks of pure distorted joy. Starting off with 'Swimming Pool sonorous, atmospheric welcome, the album twists and turns it's way through shards of hooky indie pop in 'Flowers' and 'Fibbist', plunging into darker krautrock depths in 'Klaus' and the title track. 'Grin' successfully captures the raw energy of Traams' frenzied and sweaty live performances. Review Stu Hopkins' flat, nasal honk is fetching enough from a melodic standpoint, yet its those brief pockets where the guitars go silent amidst the steady drums that are just as hooky. --Pitch ForkFormed of spongy basslines, ragged guitar curls and snappy snares which crackle like broken clock hands, precisely the kind of noisy krauttinged rattler you might suck from the brain of producer and Hookworms frontman, MJ. --The Line Of Best FitA noisy, joyous racket. Its a rude awakening, a necessary shock to the system, the first time you hear Traams --This Is Fake DiyFormed of spongy basslines, ragged guitar curls and snappy snares which crackle like broken clock hands, precisely the kind of noisy krauttinged rattler you might suck from the brain of producer and Hookworms frontman, MJ. --The Line Of Best FitA noisy, joyous racket. Its a rude awakening, a necessary shock to the system, the first time you hear Traams --This Is Fake Diy

The Winchester sound?
The best guitar rock album of the year. Hard to categorise- I heard them compared to Neu (some tracks do have a motorik precision) but the guitars have a hint of 'progressive blues' and they are a great live act. The album was produced by 'The Hookworms' and it is a lovely mix. Melodies and hooks abound. 'Post Indie?' Their EP is also great and has the best distorted guitar solo since Robert Fripp's prime.

Album of the year
Opens with swimming pool which is aptly titled, as listening to it is like being immersed in some sort of fuzzy, underwater soundscape. Moves on to Krauty stuff like Klaus and Headroll, also both brilliant. In fact it's exciting throughout. Both poppy and mesmeric, easy and hard. If you like Pavement, Archie Bronson Outfit, LCD Soundsystem, Interpol, the Strokes, Parquet Courts you'll probably like this.
