Logic Pro X Power!: The Comprehensive Guide 1st Edition

Logic Pro X Power! is billed as "the comprehensive guide" to Apple's latest iteration of its DAW, and it's just that: 456 pages crammed with every detail one could possibly ever need (or want) to know about Logic Pro X. Highly recommended for beginners and pros alike. I've been a Logic user for 5 years, and am amazed at what I learn every time I open this book. Which is often--great reference for Logic users!

Comprehensive is the operative term here. I have not had the time to use this book to its capacity but it is no "Logic Pro X For Dummies." That said, the complexity and depth of the writing requires a real dedication to sitting down and using it in large doses. No quick tips or brief exercises.

Great book. Still getting through it (it's very long and thorough) but the author has taken the time to explain all the features of Logic Pro X in great detail for all users, beginner to advanced. Highly recommended!

Big book, lots of info to digest, but very helpful if you are exploring the maze of Logic Pro X.

Great Book! I've used their manuals for: Sonar 7, Logic Pro 9 and now, Logic Pro X. Well defined, easy to follow and the manual goes as deep as you can handle. I don't work without my Logic Power manual right next to me.

GREAT BOOK PERFECT FOR LOGIC PRO X USERS

I was severely disappointed by the depth in this book. I think if you haven't read the Apple documentation, or getting info online poses difficulties, this book may be perfect. As it is I have much better luck getting info from YouTube and Google searches than I do referring to this book.

I actually read this entire book (even though i'm an avid reader, it is surprising to me). This book is just okay. I would say one would be better off watching videos (particularly from the website Groove 3), or just learn on your own my using the program and making/mixing music. How valuable is your time?This book tells you a lot.... to speak kind of broadly, most of what you can think of, Logic can do... this book might serve well as a reference point for specific tasks you encounter when in the thick of mixing. In a book like this, there is a lot of useless information. Its still okay though. I will keep mine for reference use.

Not very pleased with the newsaper quality pages. Black and white with poor quality screenshots of the various steps and processes. No colour. Was expecting a lot more considering the hundreds of raving reviews. Quite dissapointed considering the price of the book.
