The perfect loft bed for small children.
I searched for months to find a simple, well-made, loft bed for my 4 year old. We wanted something that was lower to the ground, to avoid any serious injuries. I almost ended up going with the Ikea Kura bed, but the reviews about it being squeaky and the fact that it was close to $400 with shipping changed my mind. When I bought this bed, the price was down to $189! So far my daughters (ages 4 and 1) *love* this bed, and all of our guests ask about it. It's a fun, cute little bed-- and you can't go wrong for the price. I also believe that it will be suitable for a child up to age 8-10, because it doesn't look overly childish. So, here's my full list of the pros and cons:PROS- Very versatile. This bed is very simple looking, and would go with most decor.- You can make a fort underneath. This is my 4 year olds favorite part. We bought two shower rods and some fabric, and made curtains to close off the bottom. We also bought led rope lighting to wrap around the top twin mattress, which provides a night light for up top and illuminates the little fort beneath quite well.- The height is perfect for a younger child.- It took me (and 24 year old WOMAN.. hehe) less than an hour to put together by myself.. with two kids running around me. (WORD OF ADVICE: THERE ARE *JUST* EXACTLY ENOUGH SCREWS AND DOWELS.. DO NOT LOSE EVEN A SINGLE PIECE)CONS- Everything is exactly how it's supposed to be, but it doesn't seem 100% stable. Other reviewers mentioned the same thing, and recommended installing some brackets. We have yet to do that, but you definitely don't want your kids just around and wiggling too much on this.- This was PRIME shipping, but it took about 2 weeks to receive. I guess I can't complain, since the shipping was free..

Very pleased!!
Ordered two, one for each kid as we were moving and their rooms were smaller. Had some shipping issues with one, but Amazon was awesome and had the issue resolved very quickly. Bed was easy to assemble, directions were pretty clear. I could not figure out how to get the ladder on the opposite end of the bed. All pieces were included. I thought with ordering two, I'd have one with missing/broken pieces since that seemed like a common complaint, but both were in great shape! Went together well, has a slight rattle that I could see some thinking was the bed too loose, but it's actually the way the top railings are fitted with little wooden pieces. Both beds completely sturdy and look great. Biggest complaint is the warning label is in a very visible place and does not come off easily!! All in all a good purchase for the price. Love the color and size!!

Pleasantly Impressed .
We've only had the bed for one night so opinions could change I suppose but this is my take on it thus far:My husband put it together and it took no longer than an hour. There were no issues and no surprises. Super duper cute bed. Well built for the price. Yes there is a faint "new" smell to it but nothing that has posed an issue. I was worried before it arrived about the stability of it after reading a few negative reviews but I'm pleasantly satisfied with how stable and secure it is. I feel 100% confident leaving my son to sleep through the night in this bed. His twin size mattress fits snug as a bug into the frame; no gaps and the height of the mattress leaves about five inches to the top rail, which is reassuring. He was beyond stoked to climb up in. His new treehouse bed is an absolute hit!My son is a month shy of three years old and I feel wholeheartedly that this is a safe option to standard toddler beds for any child his age and up.

No MDF
This bed shipped fast. It arrived a head of schedule, in a damaged box. However, it was in great condition, complete and very well packed. It is a two person job to put it together, but it a pretty simple process. Its sturdy and looks nice. I actually have two of these, one dark, one light. One is just the bed (purchased here), the other is all the add on's (purchased second hand). My kids love it, they like to have a cave to hang out in.It is wood, no MDF or plywood. Its not a hard oak, but it is much better quality captain or loft bed then I was able to find in my area

Great bed for small spaces with low ceilings.
We ordered this bed for my daughter when we moved. The ceilings were low so we couldn't have a standard loft, and it's an old house so it's a small room. This is perfect because it is an efficient use of the space. She loves the little play area under neath the bed; she's created a little fort under there with simple fabric from the store. The bed is nice and sturdy, we didn't even anchor it to the wall. It was a quick 1/2 hour setup with 2 pair of mechanically inclined hands. For those less inclined, I would estimate about an hour start to finish. Bottom line, great bed for the price.

Not bad.. but hopefully the manufacturer reads reviews and improves it
Overall the bed will do the job, and I got what the picture shows. For as big and heavy as the package was, and how beat up the box got during shipping, I'm surprised it didn't suffer any damage whatsoever. There are a couple of small blemishes that were easily touched up with a sharpie marker but the 3 foot white warning sticker across the headboard was pretty excessive. I'm blown away by the fact that they used paper-backed stickers for this and all the markings for assembly lettering. A nice static-cling or easily removable stickers would have saved me almost 40 minutes in tedious removal time. Even after removing the sticker carefully, my nail marks are still seen in the finish from where I had to constantly pick at it to get it off. I was also upset that the instructions had errors and were very unclear. The ladder CANNOT be moved to the other side as the manual states.. at least not without drilling new holes and having a large hole at the top of the steps and another large hole drilled for one of the dividing pegs in the rail. This is disappointing because in my situation, it puts the bottom of the ladder above my heat vent and my daughter has to step on the metal vent to get into and out of bed. This bed has tons of potential, it's sturdy, looks good, and the finish is nice. A few tweaks by the manufacturer would have made this a 5 star bed.
