I ordered this can opener to replace another similar can opener whose handle had broken. The price on this opener was great, a bit cheaper than other openers I saw that looked essentially the same (it appears some company in China makes this and it is sold under many brand names in the US). So far, the can opener is working fine, but can require a fair bit of exertion to use, so much that my wife isn't sure she wants to mess with it (favoring our old Swing-A-Way opener).This opener is so similar to our old one that broke that I will be interested to see how it lasts, and whether its crank handle breaks as the other did. Almost everything on this opener seems to be made of plastic (except the gear/gripper and cutting head).I'm not wowed by the product, but it is doing its job.

This can opener is great! It's very simple to use, and it's only a single piece; no hinge to contend with! Smooth opening for cans, comfort for hands, and easy to store!

Works great for an inexpensive opener. No need to spend lots on a product that will serve the same purpose as something 3 times the cost.

Everything you'd expect from a can opener + a bit more. They even threw in a bottle opener gift which was very nice.

Only handheld opener I’ve ever owned that keeps working and doesn’t skip or slip. Definitely recommend.
