The Army Painter Warpaints Fanatic: Mega Combo Set

I am getting into painting figures, I have acquired as much paint as I could from the craft stores but most of the paints I needed were out of stock or sold out. I figured it would be easier to buy it in bulk or buy the specific colors I needed on Amazon. This pack has every color I needed. My pack didn’t come damaged nor was any bottle leaking, Thankfully. The paint dries at good speed it gives me enough time to detail the colors out before it dries completely, the paint isn’t too thick nor thin, and doesn’t clump up my brushes or airbrush. It also comes with the agitator balls inside the paints to mix them thoroughly before use, the paints I bought at the craft store do not come with them, or at least the ones I bought don’t, so that is extremely helpful and pleasant! The paint is high quality, you’re honestly getting what you pay for. The price is good to me for good quality products. I’m very pleased with this purchase, I’ll definitely be buying again from this seller.

I've only ever used these paints for miniatures but for me, there's no reason to try any others. It has great coverage and the paint is thick enough to typically only need one coat. I will say that if you are doing a smaller mini then you'll want to thin the paint down on smaller details just a little and let it dry before adding another layer need be. Each color I've used as been easily applied and its a great quality of paint. The color are excellent and true to what they're meant to be. Added bonus, I love the mixer balls. That guarantee that the money you do spend on these paint, you don't need a lot and that they will last you a very long time. And you may think that because the WHOLE collection of paints, that there are colors that are too close in shade to be any different, they are. Each individual color is beautiful and definitely has a color difference.

I purchased these paints to add some color to the miniatures for my weekly D&D games. The overwhelming majority of the paints have been very friendly to use- the mixing balls included really make it easy to agitate the paint after a bottle has sat for awhile. There’s a great variety of colors included, and the color saturation is lovely even when thinned.Most of the paints are a bit too thick to use straight from the bottle in most cases, but that’s easily remedied by adding a little thinner medium or even just water.I’ve only had 3 problem colors out of this box-my Desert Yellow bottle seems to have a bit of trouble sealing completely, which has led to clogs on the nozzle I have to clear with a paperclip before using.Pixie Pink has a strange lumpy texture that no amount of shaking will eliminate, though once on the palette, it’s easy to stir to smooth consistency with a brush.Orc Blood refuses to mix inside the bottle. I’ve placed 2 of the mixing balls inside the bottle, and no matter how much I shake it, the paint always comes out swirled with various levels of pigmentation. The texture is smooth unlike Pixie Pink though, and you can stir the paint once it’s out of the bottle to homogenize it.Other than the above 3 paints, everything else in this set has been quite lovely. I wish there were more varied browns and reds included, but those additional colors are easy enough to pick up later. One final note- these paints do trend more towards gloss rather than matte finish, so if that’s not what you’re looking for, you may want to pick up some matte varnish rattlecans to kill some of the shine and add a little protection to your paint jobs once finished.

50 bottles of paint that you love. Comes with a silly stand, I print my own stands. Had 2 brushes with it but I'm not sure if those are any good as I haven't tried them yet and it'll be a while before I do as I already have brushes I know I like and I'm not in the market for new ones. The stand is a bear to put together, I thought. It looks like a decent stand if you don't have one already and it'll hold all of the paints in the set. I posted a picture of the stand itself but it's holding Vallejo paints while I'm waiting for their bottle rack to print, but it'll give you an idea of what it looks like. You can also see the 2 brushes it came with in the back. It has a line of slots for brushes in the back.

great buy based on variety of colors, effects, washes, metalics, medium and varnish. mixing balls kind of a waste since all the paints came with the balls in the bottles already... ? the paint guide and other papers included were great... all boxed well in a nice box with pictures and information all over it... my only complaint is why not include 1 paint brush, even if you charged a few more bucks. ??? its like opening a new battery powered toy at midnight on Christmas Eve and you don't have batteries... if you include just one paint brush, you have every thing you need to start painting...just a suggestion.

I chose this to start painting miniature as I figured it'd have everything I'd need to get started regardless of what my color choices were. This did not disappoint. I have been able to paint pretty much anything I can think of, having only bought one other color not included in this box, since. The metallics and effects paints have been a bit help as well, adding a bit more depth to my figures. I personally appreciate that they all come with the metal balls inside each container to better mix your paints as you shake them up. That alone I feel makes this box more than worth the money spent.

I’ve used Army Painter’s Speed Paints before, and with the addition of the Fanatic line, I can now apply even more painting techniques to my models. The paint works great straight out of the bottle and also thins well for layering and controlled applications. The included mixing balls are a must-have, ensuring smooth consistency every time. Overall, a fantastic addition to my painting arsenal!

Great selection of paints. Only thing I'd warn about is the matt white as it tends to Crack from my experience. Aside from that all other colors have excellent covrage even when thinned in up to a 1/3 ratio.
