Mikasa Kamryn Vegan Bone China Lightweight Serving Bowl, 9 inch

Once again, the quality of Mikasa china is displayed in this beautiful serving piece. We needed a white serving bowl as opposed to an off white/cream colored one and this is perfect. My wife loves the two rows of dots that surround the subtle contoured design area. It actually compliments some of our other serving pieces with a similar design.The look of this bowl works well in both informal and formal dining settings. I like the vegan free properties that make it unlike most of the bone china serving bowls we have. It is a perfect size to serve most side dishes for meals. The fact that this bowl is chip resistant and microwave, oven and dishwasher safe makes it easy to reach for this serving piece for any occasion.This serving bowl is designed to be a lasting compliment for many meals in our home. It is such a classic traditional piece that I recommend as a gift for a wedding, housewarming or for your own home!

I was surprised how light this platter was. it is very pretty and durable. beautiful for presentation of many items. high quality piece.

I initially requested this item to use on special occasions. But due to its functionality for my use and its lightweight structure I use it almost every day now. The design is aesthetically, pleasing, and item cleans very well. I like that the product is oval and not round and it complements any kitchen or dining room. For me, this is one of those classic pieces that can even be left out when not in use and look like an item of furniture.

Prior to its arrival at my home, I'd seen several photos of this platter, and I'm adding one more with my own review. However, I have to say that none of the pictures really look like the actual item. In three dimensions, it is simply beautiful and beautifully simple. While ample in size and versatile to hold an entree, appetizers or desserts, this platter is fairly lightweight. The white color and oval shape will blend in with any other serving and eating dishes. I love that this platter has the traditionally classy elegance of the Mikasa name while also the convenience of being dishwasher-, microwave- and oven-safe. I'm much more interested in easy living than in being fancy. Finally, the price is reasonable. This platter would make a great gift, as well. My only suggestion is that it would be nice if it came in a Mikasa box that could be saved instead of a plain cardboard mailer.

This platter is gorgeous. The quality is immediately felt when you take it out of the packaging. Visually or texturally I can not tell the difference between this china and the items I have passed down from my grandmother. The size is perfect for entertaining and serving. While the neutral color coordinates with nearly any decor style.

Nice platter, good size and weight. I wouldn't have known it was vegan bone china without the label indicating it was. I like that it is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. Those features guarantee it will actually get regular use. Every once in a very great while I'll break out that 'hand wash only' stuff but not very often.I entertain about once a month, so it's nice to have another platter. I really like how lightweight this one is. I have a couple stoneware platters and you really notice how heavy and bulky they are next to this one.There is also a deeper, more bowl like platter in this same Kamryn line in the event you need that. This platter for chicken and that platter/bowl for a salad or mashed potatoes.

I love Mikasa bone China always high quality and beautiful designs. Unfortunately the description was for a 14 inch bowl it is only 9 inches across and 2 inches deep. The design is beautiful I will keeping candy on my counter.

I am obsessed with this vegan bone china bowl ( not platter). It is somewhat of a shallow bowl but its perfect for side dish for a family holiday or meal or a large salad would look splendid in this. The vegan bone china has all of the great properties without the bone ash found in traditional bone china - making this vegan and vegetarian friendly!It as beautiful details on the outer edge and a smooth interior for easy simple cleanup and rinsing. This makes is a simple classic design you can use for years to come without it looking out dated, faded, or out of style.It is chip resistant as well as dishwasher, oven, and microwave safe. It has a life time warranty against chips- which I am thrilled about- which is says they will replace it free of charge.
