The right kind of bright
I car camp and use our medium sized suv. I usually arrive at my campsite at dusk or later and this lamp is perfect for lighting the cargo area and finding that black "thing" that I was looking for! I also photograph at night traveling in the suv. this is just perfect. It has 4 or 5 settings for Brillance of light (bright, medium, low, extra low) and it has a button for a red light also. The red is great for my use. That is the light...NOW, the construction is thoughtful...this well-made light tube has built in magnets, which will grab onto metal easily and stay in place. also built in are two loops for easy attaching the lamp to...whatever. Also included is the phone charging capability and the solar panel will charge up the unit during the day. This product is well thought out and is durable. I first bought Luminaid after seeing their pitch on "Shark Tank". I still have their first-generation pocket light which still works...about10 years later. thanks, C

Just in case item
Never know when all the lights go out or an EMP should strike. Can operate on complete solar which sold me.

Good amount of light
We got this for our camper van so we could have nighttime light without using batteries (car and smaller). I haven’t tried Solar charging yet but the way this works for the van is so much more pleasing to me than having fairy lights strung all across the roofing. So far I’m extremely pleased with the product.

Deflates over the course of 48 hours
A product that bills itself as inflatable should hold air for quite a while. This one self deflates over the course of a couple days. Otherwise, I found nothing to complain about. It is usb c rechargeable. It does have both red and white leds. There is a small solar panel on board but I suspect it will take many hours /days of direct sunlight to bring it back to full charge from depleted. The usb a and c ports are both protected from the water by a weather proof cover. LuminAid swung for the fences and did get a base hit but not a homer on this one. As of this writing they are no longer available or out of stock.

Slow charging with the solar panel, but works well, overall
Got this for camping and it's a nice addition for our larger tent. Provides generous light, with the inflatable portion acting as a diffuser. The "tone" of light is a little bit of a harsh bright white, but it provides plenty of lumens to make going through bags or reading/playing games easy. Overall, I'm happy with the design and concept. If you plan to use the solar panel between uses, ensure you get it into the sun for the whole day, to ensure enough charge for an evening of use.

Luminaid doesn't fully charge via USB
The media could not be loaded. I've been charging the light via USB since this morning (its 9 pm now), and the charge indicator is only showing 2 out of 4 green bars. Other than that, the light coming from it is great. Think I just got a dud.

Take it to anywhere
I see the use case of the product in camping. But for me, it is more of emergency use case. I have put the beam in one of the drawers I frequently open so that I know it's there in case I need emergency situation. I found that the charge status is pretty good after a few weeks past. Thanks!

Nice waterproof diffused camping light
I like this product. I've only gotten it out camping a few times so far. On on the middle settings it provides a nice ambient lighting hung up under my awning, like a room light. Not a bright, direct light, i wouldn't rely on this for a flashlight replacement. A good range of brightnesses. Would work well inside a tent, or a i do under my awning over my gear. The battery seems good, it makes it through two evenings/nights without recharging. It packs away small and light, would be good backpacking (in going to take it out for that next month). And it is waterproof, i pulled it out and left it on on the rain without issue.Only concern is long term value for the cost. It's a little pricey. But if it holds up for a few years, then it's golden.
