When it says it is a notebook/journal, it means it. It is just blank pages. I'm not sure what rock I was living under when I read the post title and description and thought this book would help me feel better about the transition to being a scout leader. Maybe I was thinking it was a manual or something. Haha! When it arrived, I tore into it looking for wisdom and help..... and the pages were blank. I cried, my husband laughed, I felt like the world was on fire around me. It all turned out just fine. I signed up for the University or Scouting in my area and after a long weekend of training I felt far more equipped to handle it all. And absolutely EVERYONE laughed and thought my notebook was hilarious
