I have no idea how many of these types of things I've bought because I get my daughter one every year for Christmas and have done since she was eight years old. She's 29 now...And weirdly I can still find new ones.Anyway, this isn't for her. I noticed that my 7 year old nephew was fascinated by one that was lying around my house post last year's Christmas. So he's got one now for his birthday.Like anything of course price is a factor and this is no different. My nephew's mum is a very good one and always tries to 'do the right thing.' So, instead of loads of plastic junk we put money into a savings fund and buy something more modest which, means we have to think more carefully and when my nephew is 18, he'll be jolly happy to have few more quid than his mates. And thus I arrived at this which is very reasonably priced for what it is.Something that if your child has a curious mind will have him or her utterly captivated for a surprising amount of time. Adults too. It's quite amazing how many people will see one of these on a table and then pick it up and start to play with it for more time than than they realise. I know I find myself deep in concentration when having a go to the point where my wife has to remind me to put it down.For children this seems to capture their inner imagination and because it's really unlikely to be completed easily it's funny just how many times they will have a go at it trying to beat their last failure point.This one is well enough made for the money and as long as it's not kicked around like a football it will last a good long time. Forever if treated with respect.Overall, this is a good value 3D maze ball.
