Insight to our wild flowers
I’ve really enjoyed this book with lovely illustrations and different coloured pages. The facts on the use of wild plants. Not overly detailed but enough to make it an enjoyable and informative read.Certainly another for my collection.

not on;y the flowers but remedies and folklaw about them
not the best for pictures but very interesting about the remedies they have been used for in the past and still are today.Did you know Blacksmiths kept a bunch of forget me knots in the forge to protect the horses from injury? just one example of interesting facts

Good book
Its a good buy, this. Did you know the pages are coloured and not white? The illustrations are lovely and the content covers the myth, legend and folklore. I value it. So yes it’s a good thing.

Beautiful informative book
My son requested this on seeing it in Waterstones. It is a beautiful volume and the history about the flowers usage is fascinating.

Gorgeous Illustrations!
I did not expect this book to be so beautiful. It has detailed illustrations of each flower and their varieties as well as information on folklore involving the flowers, medicinal purposes, the regions they grow in, and what they've been used for in the past. A must have book for anyone interested in wild flower species or local knowledge on them.

Love this book
If you like Wildflowers and British folklore then this book is perfect. It has an medium sized, slightly unusual format, but good quality hardback, and good quality paper is used. Despite being well versed in wildflowers I learned about flowers I had not yet heard of, e.g. Milkwort and Coltsfoot. The size and price are perfect as a present (Xmas or otherwise) for those who find beauty in nature, or for gardeners, twiddling their thumbs in the cold winter. I like the fact that instead of photos there are wonderful illustrations in the old botanical style. The author also mentions her work as a tribute to the "biography of wildflowers" that John Clare planned to, but never managed to write. Really recommended.
