Mixcept 52" Wooden Sideboard Buffet Table Tall Console Dining Server Storage Cabinet with Wine Rack, Black

We received the sideboard on time and in excellent condition. We were very impressed with the packing that was clearly designed to minimize the possibility of the sideboard being damaged in shipment. The sideboard is very attractive and looks nice in our home. That being said, the instructions (and I'm being extremely generous in referring to them as instructions) were without exception the worst I have ever had accompanying a product requiring assembly. I am very good with my hands, have built most of the buildings on my property, and have assembled countless products bought both in big box stores or online and have never been as frustrated assembling anything as I was with this sideboard. Only on a single piece in the entire sideboard assortment of pieces did there appear an indication of front or back. On all the other pieces it was at best a guess. The illustrations were so unclear, imprecise, and misleading as to be worse than useless. In fact, because of the lack of directions as to front and back, I unknowingly screwed the three cardboard rear covers to the front of the sideboard. I didn't discover this disastrous mistake until I started to install the glass doors to what I thought was the front of the sideboard. As a result, I had to remove the cardboard rear covers leaving gaping screw holes on the visible front of the sideboard. My wife and I were almost in tears as we saw the damage. We had to use some black paint in a vain effort to try to hide the damage and were only minimally successful in spite of our best efforts. This was the most blatant of our many problems with the so-called instructions but was unfortunately only one of many. What we thought would be an assembly task of a couple of hours took us almost all day to finally complete. Lest anyone assume that we are mere careless klutzes be forewarned. We laid out each of the sideboard pieces in alphabetical order (each piece is clearly marked A, B, C, etc.) and made sure all of the screws and other hardware were present. The problem in assembling the sideboard is not the sequence of steps but what the steps actually are and how the pieces related to each other front to back, side to side, etc. It is hard to imagine how anyone could put together more unfathomable instructions without having someone actually try to follow the instructions before sending them out. When we were looking at sideboards online, my wife and I were torn between the Mixcept sideboard and a similar sideboard available at IKEA. We have numerous pieces from IKEA and have been happy with them all but decided on the Mixcept sideboard instead. What a mistake that was. Unlike Mixcept, IKEA instructions are actually that, instructions, and are intuitive, easy to follow, and precise. The exact opposite of the Mixcept approach. This is a mistake we won't make again. Back to IKEA we go.UPDATE: Attention potential buyers of this product!! On July 10 I received an email from Emma in Mixcept customer service stating the following: "We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the instruction. As a compensation, we now enclose a special coupon worth 20% discount off in your next purchase." In the next paragraph Emma then made the following request: "We really appreciate your feedback and review. However, as a new seller on Amazon, any negative review and feedback is deadly shock to us. We need your help. Is it possible for you kindly help to remove the review and feedback?" I was astonished at this brazen request and chose not to respond, nor of course, to change my review. Then, to my surprise and disbelief, on July 13 I received a second email from the self same Emma in customer service at Mixcept that included the following: "After consulting my manager, we would like to offer you another special coupon and it worth 50% discount off." And a second request as follows: "We promise that we will do more to improve our instruction and products. Is it possible for you kindly help to remove the review and give us an opportunity to rectify this matter, please? This product could not exist with the only 2 star review. Could you please do us a favor to delete this 2 stars review?" I leave it to other potential customers to draw their own conclusions. I notified Amazon of this company's effort to influence my review of their product.

Despite others reviews I decided to purchase this table anyway thinking to myself I am pretty handy shouldn't be too hard. Wrong! This is the worst product I have ever encountered. The instructions provided are horrible if you can even call them instructions. The materials provided to assemble this table aren't very intuitive. As you try to put this together the pieces keep falling out requiring that you complete the same process multiple times. There is a certain depth that you should screw these screws in to the table but you won't realize it until after you try putting it together only to find out that the screws won't catch. Don't expect any verbiage just a bunch of pictures for what they consider instructions. If you put something on backwards you will have to disassemble the entire table to make the correction. You would hope to put this together in a day but after a long day of work and trying to put this together for hours frustration sets in and this task has rolled over until the next day. I have taken it a part 3 times now and put it back together. All they have to do is make instructions clear but after many complaints for the same reason clearly nothing has changed and they don't seem too concerned. You could send this to professionals who do this for a living and I can assure you they will run into problems as well. Shop elsewhere is my advice. I wouldn't buy anything else from this company ever again. I will be extremely unhappy if I have to end up wasting $229 by just throwing the entire thing in the trash.

A little hard to get all the pieces together correctly. Took a bit of time and patience. Looks nice, using it as a liquor cabinet, but had to remove the shelves inside the doors to get bottles to fit. It works.

Looks great except there was a broken door, easy to to put together

Mixcept 52” Wooden Sideboard is just what I needed it to be, a tall tv standI fit all stereo equipment including my center speak and I left out the wine rack to fit my sub wooferThe measurements were very accurate and was very important for the set up I was looking for.The instructions was on point and easy to follow.I’m giving it 5 Stars

Arrived quickly and was well protected in the packaging and boxes. Took about an hour to assemble but the instructions were well written and easy to understand. Extra hardware was included in packaging. Looks great in my family room.

It is sturdy and the doors are strong. It fits 12 bottles of wine and looks like a $1000 piece of furniture and it was $160 - my fiance put it together with ease and we love it!

Exactly what we expected. The piece looks great in our apartment. I love the extra storage and the wine holder. I was weary purchasing furniture online but this definitely didn’t disappoint.
