Awoco LED Light Bulbs Replacement for Range Hoods - 12V DC, 2W, Cooker Hood led Light Bulbs with 3000K Warm Yellow (Pack of 2)

Needed to replace the lights on my Samsung range hood. The lights on the hood were original and only lasted 6 months.Even Samsung couldn't (or wouldn't) tell me a model number.Bought these because they fit the opening, and the wattage was right, but had the swap the ends.Very easy to do if you've done any basic wire work.Just cut the ends of the originals, and replaced them on the new lights, plug them in and done.Work great. Good light, have lasted longer then the originals, fit in the hood great.Not exactly a direct replacement but worked great for my application.

They did NOT come with a frosted screen as depicted .You could see the individual LEDs and it looks very poor.These are certainly warmer than the lights that originally shipped with our Awoco hood, but the original ones actually had a frosted screen..

Slightly different look and brighter than the OEM units. Fit my Intertec model #5011160 range hood. These have a frosted lens cover where the OEM units showed the individual LEDs. OEM lamps (same manufacturer) only lasted 10 months so I purchased the warranty. Would purchase these lights again.

I read all of the warnings and things to look out for, like whether or not the connections match, the voltage are the same and or ac/dc is correct. I checked all of these things, and all were correct, and the lights still didn't work. now, to start with, I didn't even bother with trying to send back or write a review, but this is the second notice by amazon. so, I decided to say something now. I still don't care what the company that made these lights does...I just won't be back for more......kinda like going to a bad restaurant...you don't say anything and make a scene, you just don't go back again

Better than the original 1.5W bluish lamps, but still leave a lot to be desired.The Good:They are semi-flood coverage lamps. The lamps that came with my LG vent hood were almost spots. The end result and one of the reasons for replacing the original lamps was that there was a hot spot (bright spot) between the front and back burners on both sides of the stove. These lamps create a broader coverage.These lamps, at 2 watts, are just slightly brighter than the lamps that came with the hood. However, see "The Bad".These lamps have a whiter light color than the originals, that had a significant bluish tint. Don't get me wrong. At 6000K, the light still tends slightly toward the blue. But it's not near as bad as the originals. In a kitchen, it is important to have white light. For example, without white light (in the 4000K range), you can't accurately tell the difference between a medium-rare steak and a medium-well steak. The same kind of color issues apply to other foods. So, at 6000K, these lamps are much better than the more bluish original lamps, but not perfect.The Bad:I bought these lights primarily, to put more light on the stove surface. They are rated half a watt higher than most others similar bulbs. They do put more light on the surface, but they don't. They put more light on the surface. But since they have a wider beam spread ("The Good"), that larger amount of light ends up producing the same amount of brightness as the originals, except spread across the stovetop, instead of on two spots, like the originals. So, although the beam spread is better, the effective amount of light on the whole stove is about what it was in two spots, with the original lamps. I would buy this bulb in a 3 watt or even 4 watt version, is it were available. 2 watts is just not enough for illuminating a cook surface.The Not Really Bad:All of the bulbs of this type are made for specific brands of hoods. So this one would not plug directly into my LG hood. Fortunately, all I had to do was to use a pair of wire cutters, to snip off a plastic latch that is not really needed in this application. Then it plugged in perfectly.Conclusion:These lamps would be perfect, if they were about twice as bright. The beam spread is great. The plug compatibility issue was to be expected and easily solved. The color is not a perfect white, but it's close enough. I just wish they would make the same lamp in w 3 or 4 watt version.

Wanted to replace range hood lights with warm white LED lights which were out of stock at range hood mfr. Led lights rec'd in 2 days, at less cost and light connections and size fit perfectly.

Worked perfectly.
