Product Description Approaching four decades of history, The Enid became pioneers of the successful fusion between Rock and Classical. Invicta is the bands 13th studio album - a both romantic and cynical look at the power of the many. Collectively, humanity can achieve greatness. On the other hand, how do we explain and justify mob mentality? November 2012 will also see the debut release of brand new studio album The Art of Melody (a Robert John Godfrey solo album). In the lead up to the release of The Art of Melody and Invicta, an investment with top PR Company Colman Getty will provide national coverage of the band to raise its profile to a new generation of music lovers. Reviews from The Guardian and PROG Magazine are already guaranteed. The album will be promoted on the road throughout 2013, while the band tours their show across the UK and Europe. Upcoming performances include the two largest UK Prog Rock festivals Y-Prog and HRM-Prog. Pressing the album as a Digi-Pack is more reminiscent of the old record sleeves than the common dual cases, and thus is expected to improve the appeal of the record to an audience which dates back to 1974. Since orchestrating for great bands such as Barclay James Harvest, conducting orchestras at the Royal Albert Hall, and assisting the production of Pink Floyd albums at Abbey Road Studios, Godfrey built The Enid to become a vehicle for his own compositions. The Enid is best remembered for work such as: In the Region of the Summer Stars, and Something Wicked This Way Comes. Following a full 30 minute live recording of The Enids Fand being aired on Radio 1s Friday Rock Show, presenter Tommy Vance is quoted to have said Robert John Godfrey is to my mind one of the greatest composers this country has ever had... The 15th October 2011 saw a collaborative performance between the Enid and one of the worlds greatest orchestras (the CBSO), later resulting in a Number 1 Classical Single download of Godfreys The Mirror of Love in February 2012, which also reached number 65 in the 2012 Classic FM Hall of Fame as the 3rd highest new entry.
