I started riding again after 35 years at age 55. I bought a new saddle and standard fillis stirrups like I used when I was young. However, I found my ankles and knees felt stressed and sore after a lesson or just working my dressage routines. My trainer recommended I try these stirrups and the difference is amazing. These composite stirrups are very stable but they absorb shocks in a way fillis stirrups can’t. I feel much more secure in the saddle and they allow my legs to lie in a more natural position when I ride. I can’t explain the physics but I can say that these stirrups really do take the stress off my joints, especially my ankles. I had a bad ankle break with fixation hardware and since I switched to these stirrups, my bad ankle feels great even after an intense session. I love that they come in multiple colors. I bought the gray originally to simulate metal but I’ve since bought them in purple to match my saddle pad and I really love the pop of color. I will never go back to fillis stirrups again.

love
these are my second pair(I accidentally left the other pair on a saddle that I sold). I love them. They're extremely lightweight but durable. The other pair lasted me two years before I sold them .

I didn’t realize what I was missing!
Sooooo much more comfortable than the standard irons. I’ll never go back. No issues with quality or size. Perfect!

One stirrup?!?!
Only received ONE stirrup which considering the item has Stirrups as plural and not singular just baffles me. I’m not sure what to do with just one stirrup. Super disappointed and frustrated as Amazon makes it impossible for me to really get an answer as to why this happened.

OMG
Hate to say it, but I think I like these a little better than my really expensive Herm Sprenger's. They're super lightweight. The wide surface area significantly reduces the pressure on my knees, so I can ride longer without knee pain than I can in standard English stirrups. This is a good thing because normally when I ride, I ride two horses. So these stirrups are good for the longevity. I don't do jumping or dressage. I just like to give the horses some good, rigorous flatwork. I use an all-purpose saddle, and I post. Very much in love with these stirrups.
