Sailmakers Needles - Pack of 5 - Assorted Sizes

Replenished my sewing kit. These are good needles, and a good selection of sizes.

Great quality needles, super pointy on the pointy end and with a nice wide eye these are easily threaded, they have a reassuring weight too.If I'm planning on some craft project or other I tend to prefer using all natural/handmade materials including the tools that I work with.Up until I stumbled across these little beauties, I was resigned to using the old 'machine made' needles that will bend or snap under the slightest provocation. I now use these for sewing, darning, leather craft...the possibilities are almost limitless.Great product, highly recommended!

Yep strong and as good as any veteran sailor remembers, great for teaching whipping and splicing for cadets. good range of sizes available.

These are good quality needles for heavy duty fabrics. It is much faster for than using an awl and pliers if used in conjunction with a sailmaking palm. That said, for something like cowhide (3-5mm thick) or very thickly layered fabric, you may still be better going with an awl, as it is more precise.For canvas, however, you likely won't find better needles for the price.I carry a few when I'm out hiking, they're very solidly made (watch out, they're sharp!)

They are very well made, very sharp at the triangular end and have a eye slot at the other so you can thread your thread through it. Very happy with them.
