This is one of those "I wish I'd read this sooner" books. If you are feeling frustrated, at work or at home, with the quality of your relationships and level of your effectiveness get this book. Read one chapter a day, and sleep on it. In two weeks you'll have a new view of things and some very useful tools to work with.Chapters 1 thru 10 lay the foundation. Chapters 11 thru 14 pull it all together and provide some concrete steps to start the process of your process of unravelling the complexity and clarifying the ambiguity of your marriage, office politics, and global conflict.The chapters are fairly short. Most can be read in less than half an hour. The conversational style may be a bit frustrating if you are an (E) type, but trust me, it will be worth it. If you are a committed atheist Adizes' references to spiritual matters may put you off, but don't let that stop you. The underlying principles about how humans act and interact are true regardless of your beliefs about cosmic consciousnesses.

Livro escrito ha quase 30 anos atrás e super atual. O autor tem um tom de professor que as vezes torna o texto longo e um pouco exaustivo, mas os exemplos e paralelos ajudam a entender e fixar os principais conceitos do livro. O livro explica a origem dos principais desafios que toda empresa enfrenta e dá algumas dicas de como tratar, mas deixa muita coisa no ar, tipo: " se quiser saber mais contrate minha consultoria". Mas de qualquer maneira o autor conseguiu transformar anos de experiência em um livro que traz uma nova perspectiva sobre a origem dos conflitos em uma organização, bem como a importância da pluralidade de pensamentos para a construção de uma empresa saudável.

It just makes sense! It explains orgs in the past, today, and the future
It’s a dense book with deep ideas but it’s hard to put the book down. Can’t skim the book or you’ll miss some good ideas. I highly recommend.
