Q: How sharp are these? Would they deter some punk wanting to jump my fence?

These are quite sharp and sturdy. i think they would deter anyone trying to climb over a fence.

Q: How does tape work. Seems to be sticky on only one side. Am I missing something?

It is double stick tape, but very hard to remove strips from sticky sides

Q: Would this work to prevent animals or birds from making holes in the wood soffit or facia board? No nest problem just holes in wood.

I don’t know if it would work for that. I used it on window sills that are flat. I had a problem with squirrels and now they cannot get on the sill because of the strips.
