Good advice with solid backing examples
There are a lot of books about running better meetings out there. Momentum stands out as one of the better guides for teams looking to get a grip on their meeting habits. It's a Goldilocks book: striking that perfect balance between simple guidelines and the detailed story-based examples that make it easy to see what it means to put those guidelines into practice.I found the chapter on setting team meeting norms to be especially useful. The authors made it crystal clear how establishing norms gives your team a way to continue talking about and improving your meetings, which is so important since improving meetings is an ongoing process; there is no one-and-done way to "fix" a chronic meeting problem. The example norms provided in the book and in the linked reference material are a super helpful way for teams to get this discussion rolling.

Efficient meetings=Priceless :)
I've never wasted a single minute with my friend Mamie Kanfer, and she's an incredible entrepreneur who first built a company and then wrote a book with her co author Tai Tsao about making meetings better. And it actually works. The first chapter taught me that most people are so afraid to speak up to challenge the status quo of meetings, though we all know sitting through painful readings of everything written in a document, or getting sidetracked without an end in site because someone isn't moderating all waste enormous amounts of time. First read the book, then have a meeting about it, and then see how much you've learned.David Homan
