11+ Maths Rapid Tests Book 3 for GL and CEM: Year 4, Ages 8-9

Absolutely fab book for helping kids with maths, we use them term-time to assist our daughter and during holidays to help keep her motivated as the school doesn't bother sending home maths homework in Yr 4!

I'm a big fan of Schofield & Sims books and this is no exception:- a series of tests, each ideally to be completed within 12 minutes- neatly laid out with a progress chart to track results- covers a large variety of mathematical concepts.Overall highly recommended (don't forget to pull out the answers page before you ask your child to work through it!).

Ideal for Maths 11+ home study. The booklet is well structured, very clearly laid out, with short sharp exercises for developing student test skills. Very good range of questions with answers. Good value, would recommend.

Since the previous book in this series, calculations have been moved into a single test category instead of addition/subtraction being separated from multiplication/division and a new fractions and decimals section has been added. As with my other reviews on maths books in this series, I'd say that this series is generally excellent, and at this level each test has a target time of 12 minutes. The series focuses on rapid single-step questions and is not suitable for practising multi-step questions and more complex problem solving techniques.It has kept my children engaged and interested, although as the fractions section is new I would have suggested make it longer.
