Weird But True! Animals

Great book!
My 10-year-old loves these books. It was a great surprise that I gave him for a long flight. The size is perfect to easily fit in his backpack. He finds these books fascinating, and I love that he’s filling his mind with real facts/trivia rather than just Pokémon. Highly recommend.

Fun for kids
This was purchased for my 7 year old daughter. She loved reading all the facts to us, she keeps going back to the book to read it again and again.

To small
The book is awesome but it's tiny I really thought that it would just be a paperback book that's usually about 6 in wide 12 in long I did not read where it says that it's I think 6x6 maybe so when I got the book I was very shocked to see how small it was.

Excellent addition to animal nonfiction collection
Great photos- interesting facts- written so a young child can pick and choose what to read about. Informative and entertaining,

Vibrant
This book is filled with vibrant colors and facts. My daughter really enjoys looking at all of the pictures and gets a lot of laughs. My one complaint is this book is very small. I guess I was expecting more of an average sized book. It is more of the size of a baby's board book.

Disappointing
I was surprised at what arrived in the mail based on the ratings. An example of an "outrageous fact": "Baby puffins are called pufflings". Aside from the fact that they could have put much more interested stuff in there, on the NatGeo Kids website, their "weird but true" facts actually have explanations behind things...so I was expecting some detail added to explain the "why" for each fact so it could actually be a learning tool. This book just states the fact "The yolks of ostrich eggs are red"...without explaining why.
