I regretfully purchased this item hoping for a budget-friendly alternative to the other labeling devices on Amazon, but I couldn't have been more disappointed. I don’t review products much, but this was so bad I had to say something. The design is a blatant rip-off, but the similarities end there. From the moment I unboxed it, I could tell it was poorly made. The materials feel cheap, and it's clear that corners were cut during production.Functionality-wise, it's a disaster. The item barely functions as intended. The performance is abysmal, and it's evident that no attention to detail was given during the manufacturing process. The overseas manufacturer of this product is clearly trying to slap something together to make a buck because they saw good sales numbers from other labelers and they want a piece of the action.Specifically the wood aligns crooked, which makes your label crooked as well. Also the label is placed on a foam pad, which doesn’t release the label well at all. The things is also bulky and large, taking up way too much space. The wood is cheap and lightweight and the device slides around the work surface. Also the ‘ruler’ is a waste, it is there for show and not for function.Save yourself the headache and invest in the original product or a reputable alternative. I was thinking the wood devices would look good, but it doesn’t…so I spent the extra money and have since purchased the USA-made all steel Label Ledge. There is a night and day difference between these two. The Label Ledge is so much more of a tool that can be relied on and its alignment is spot on. Plus it’s based in the USA and they give you a USA phone number to call if you have questions.This copycat is nothing but a waste of money and time. Get the real thing and do it right.
