Excellent All Round
Bought this product in its early iteration in 2021 and I can confirm it is still holding just as strong as the first day. Mounted on the vent I have noted a few times across the years of the ball in socket loosening but easily can be tightened to stop dipping of the phone itself. Very easy to install and really strong magnetic mount even in rough terrain. The 7.5w charger does the job - have noted ESR now offers a 15w version as well as a cooling version and would highly recommend this if fast charging is a priority - will definitely upgrade once the original decides to stop working!

A simple, effective, easy to install fast-charging MagSafe adapter perfect for any commute
As an ESR iPhone case owner, I stumbled upon their in-car MagSafe mount during a casual browse on Amazon. Recognising the brand I thought it would be an ideal addition to my daily commute essentials.Upon receiving the product, I was immediately impressed by its sturdy build and thoughtful design. The mount securely holds my iPhone 15 in place throughout my drive, providing peace of mind (even on bumpy roads). The package includes clear instructions, a USB-C cable for convenient connectivity, and two mounting options - vent and dash - catering to different preferences and car interiors. One standout feature is the compatibility with fast charging when paired with an additional car charger. This means I can quickly juice my phone while on the go, ensuring I arrive at my destination with a fully charged device.Overall, this product exceeds my expectations with durability, functionality, and user-friendly design. It's a must-have for anyone seeking a reliable and efficient solution for in-car charging and phone placement.

Works and is practical.
Works, magnet is strong so phone held well, charges slowly as expected with 15w Qi.Vibrates a little probably because it stands quite high from the dash/vent, but will not impair viewing of a map.

Fast charging, solid but easy to release mount
The media could not be loaded. I've been a huge fan of my ESR Halolock case for protecting my iPhone as well as giving it a reliable MagSafe mount. So when I saw that ESR had released a Qi2 charger, it was an easy decision to get one. Mechanically, it seems well designed, with the mount moulded from a strong matte black plastic without sharp edges and with enough flex in the plastic to feel like it's gripping securely. The vent clip has a strong embedded metal spring, which holds solidly without feeling like it's going to scratch, and there's a brace, which latches into a range of positions, as shown in my photo. The whole mount can rotate to fit horizontal, vertical or angled vents, and connects to the charging pad with a ball joint tightened with a thumbwheel. The MagSafe mount latches to the phone with a satisfying click as you can see in my video :) It then holds the phone solidly without undue vibration, and it's easy to just pull the phone away when you need to.Charging performance seems fine, just like MagSafe at home. You get a double-ended USB-C cable, so depending on your car, you may need a USB-C adapter, or your own USB-A to C cable to actually provide the juice. As the instructions note, your USB power source should meet the PD or QC fast changing standards to get the full performance. I did test it with a USB A-C cable on an old 3.1A adapter and it did still charge with that.Overall, pretty easy to fit and just use without worries. Perfect if you're already in the MagSafe ecosystem (and if not, why not!)

Super strong grip, 15w fast charge. Winner!
The media could not be loaded. After weeks of testing various wireless chargers from lots of different brands (Mous, Spigen, Belkin etc) I was giving up hope until I found this one. Some of the other brands were okay to charge my device but had next to no grip for a car mount. Some of the other brands simply refused to charge my device and the excuse was "it's not an iPhone so we can't help"I have to give this charger a solid 5/5 or 10/10 whatever you like because it does what it is supposed to do brilliantly. It charges my phone fast and it holds my phone securely.Grip strength:Incredible! You can see in the video me slapping the phone to see quite when it'd fall off. You could go over a really nasty speed bump and it'd hold on just fine. One of the most expensive branded mounts I tested (mous) fell off after placing the full weight of my phone on it let alone trying to drive!Charging:This was my key issue with all of the other chargers. I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro and everyone says that they are not compatible - this is not true! I used an ESR Ring mount on the back of my Spigen case and when working with this wireless charger I get the full 15w charge as indicated on one of my images. Other devices would do 5w or be intermittent jumping between fast charge and no charge. This starts slowly for a few seconds then ramps up to the full 15w as expected. On a 5v only supply this will draw about 1A, at 9v it'll do a bit more but when the charger allows 12v you get the full fast charge from it. I've tested this with an in-car plug and various chargers for around the house to check the actual output. to get a solid 15w is GREAT.Fit:I've had issues in the past with vent mounts for phones and the way this mount is designed makes the hold a lot better. The little leg that folds down at the bottom takes all of the weight out of the mount so the phone just stays put. Once it's in the air vent it doesn't move and it can take some aggressive driving easily. You can hear the firm click when the phone mounts to the charger.Modifications:I modified my charger to sit on a Brodit pillar mount. This was as easy as taking off a single screw and using some 3M tape. This means it can sit neatly my my A-Pillar and it's REALLY secure. There isn't anything wrong with the vent mount, I just prefer to have my phone in that position and I've found suction mounts don't get the correct angle. I've been using a piece of metal in a phone case and some magnets glued to the brodit mount for about a year so swapping to this far neater and easier solution is great. No more plugging in wires too.

Great for the car
Bought as a gift for my partner to stop looking down at the sat nav and working well. It’s attached to the vent and has been pretty sturdy. The phone attaches easily with a magnet phone case and had no issues with that. Charges the phone up no issues too.
