I’m a hectic person by nature. I like multitasking and I’m always trying to fit more and more into my daily routines. Result? I have no idea how to relax. I have got into yoga, meditation apps and other relaxation methods before, but my lack of concentration is too high sometimes.So, I have decided to try this white noise machine to learning how “stop the clock” for a while. I know it works with babies, maybe it would be effective with anxious adults like me as well. Besides, I like its price. It’s not the most expensive white noise machine in the market.Design and packaging:The first impression about the product is positive. It looks like a quality machine. It’s presented in an attractive box and packaged in a safe way. It’s always good to highlight it, especially with you have young children or curious pets around. The cables are protected in the box and the machine was covered with a resistant plastic.The product was also delivered faster than I expected, and the parcel got intact at home too.I also liked this product because it seems to be a perfect product to take with me on long-haul flights, for example. I do like listening to calm sounds when I am on an aeroplane, and I guess it could be another effective way of overcoming fears of flying to many people. The quality of the sound when using it when headphones are impressive. You can eliminate external sound and focus on the sound easily.It’s a lightweight and discreet machine that can even be carried on my handbag.I prefer its simple and compact design over bulky machines with many buttons that we end up having no clue how to use them. Besides, the instruction book guide us through all the machine’s features and buttons, anyway. You don`t need to be techy to understand how to use it.Features and usability:There is a USB cable that makes my life easier when I need to recharge it while I am working. Everything I need to do is plugging it into my computer. This product can be also recharged through a power adapter.I have been using this white noise machine for a while now in different periods of the day. It has helped me to relax not only before going to bed but when I am cooking or after teaching for long hours or when I need to relax in the bathtub. It’s easy to carry around and fits anywhere in the house.It has many different natural sounds to choose from and I don’t need to stick with the same ones all the time. Bless it! I confess to not being keen on the lullabies, but my cat loves it. A winner with pets as well, maybe?I like the way it keeps it simple. It uses natural sounds that you are familiar with without having to search for apps or downloading files. Crickets, birds, thunderstorms and rain sounds are available any time I want it, on a simple click.Besides, the auto-off time with 30, 60 or 90 minutes is another feature to be highlighted. I don’t like keeping any machine turned on for the entire night, so it has makes things so easier when I know it will turn off itself. I usually time it for 30 minutes if I am about to sleep or I use it for a longer period when I need a complete relaxation moment.It has improved my sleeping pattern and it has been helpful to organise my relaxing time too. As soon as I see it next to my bed, I remember to use it.The battery lasts longer than I expected. I didn`t need to charge it so far and I have been using it constantly for more than a week now.Overall, I like this product because it’s a practical and quite straightforward machine. There is no difficult instruction to follow. Unless you need a more sophisticated machine with Bluetooth and other extra features, it’s a very effective white machine to purchase for a reasonable price.

I was sent this product from the seller in return for an honest review.Unfortunately, the box the item had arrived in had been bashed during transit and the product box was a little battered. Luckily, the machine itself was undamaged.The machine is pretty compact and light - about the size of a sandwich - but it feels sturdy and well built. It comes with instructions, but it couldn't be simpler to use - just plug in and you're ready to go.As well as 20 different tracks to choose from (from lullabies and womb noises to birdsong and pink noise), you can also set it to run on a 30, 60 or 90 min cycle - fab if you don't want to leave it running all night.While the machine does run from the mains, you can also charge it up and take it with you - brilliant for if you're out and about and there's an emergency napping situation.For the most parts, the sounds are high quality, although a couple of them sounded a little tinny at low volume.While I didn't find this having a huge impact on my sleep, the cricket chirping noise managed to derail several cases of the screaming abdabs from my three-month old, for which I'll be forever grateful!

Nearly forgot to write about this fantastic little addition to night times! I come from a family of insomniacs and worriers I thinkso always having problems with my sleep! So does my daughter. I’ve done various relaxation techniques and took natural herbal alternatives to sleeping tablets, but sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. So thought I’d try this ‘white noise’ machine I’ve heard others mention before. I’ve had different sounds on my phone to go to sleep to but didn’t like the fact that if I fell asleep, my phone is still on. That’s no good for you either. So it was great i could find a gadget that already has these sounds build in. The machine itself seems well designed and light weight. Not too big so fits nicely on bedside table. It’s very easy to use. You can go through the different sounds, ranging from different kinds of white noise, called grey , pink etc, through to wildlife sounds, weather and the sea. You can put it on a timer of 30, 60, and 90 minutes so you can fall to sleep and not worry about it staying on all night! There’s different levels of sound too which is handy. The sound quality is good enough considering it’s compact design. It also comes with a usb wall plug and cable so can be charged, and also an instruction book. I didn’t need to read the booklet as quite straight forward to use. I’ve been going through them to see which ones are most effective. I certainly know what others are talking about now with this white noise sound. It certainly helps empty your mind. I love to listen to the sea ones too. Most of the sounds do the job and are very relaxing. The last week or so I’ve let my elder daughter use it whilst in Tenerife as she is having severe problems sleeping. She is also very happy with it. She probably won’t let me have it back now. I will have to get another. Very pleased with it!

Having read up on the AuCuTee White Noise machine, I thought it would be a good investment... but sadly having used it on just three nights, it has now been tucked away in a drawer, probably never to be used again. It was annoying to say the least and despite trying various sounds – it meant I got up two or three times each night to change them! – it made my sleep even worse than it was before. Sorry, but it's not for me and a waste of £30.
